So you'd favour third period Stalinism over the Popular Front?

I don't deny it's a real dilemma, that arises repeatedly. But your approach didn't work out too well in the '30s.
"Stalinism"??? Youre out of your mind. The 30's were almost 100 years ago.

Well, I think the Democrat's mistake is focusing on abortion. Its wrong headed. Most Americans dont vote on the basis of abortion. As the saying goes, its the economy, stupid. Which, right now, sucks.

You're not wrong.... abortion rights should have been ONE major point but not the only one.

By far the most important thing to stress SHOULD HAVE BEEN how the GOP has NO PLAN to make anything better..

GOP "priorities" have nothing to do with making life easier for you and me and EVERYTHING to do with catering to rich people and corporations.

I hope youre not saying its EITHER rich people/corporations OR middle class. Are you? I mean, sure...the Trump tax cuts benifitted the rich. But it also benifitted the middle class.

\IRS data proves Trump tax cuts benefited middle, working-class Americans most (yahoo.com) (The Hill)

Hey everyone. We should forget history's mistakes if it was almost a century ago. Just thought y'all should know.

No wonder republicans want to rewrite American 'history'.

"Middle-class".... how quaint.

The middle-class in America is on life-support .... the average American's life in 2022 is crap in many ways compared to 30 years ago.

We're rapidly becoming a nation of "have" and "have-not".

I recall hearing as a kid that gen-x would be the first generation of Americans with a lower standard of living then their parents and it's become a reality.

I dont think you want to go there. Should we talk about the Democrats history?
I said American history, dipshit. And it isn't Democrats trying to erase what actually went down.

Get some reading comprehension.

And now we've devolved into personal attacks. Yer real smart are ya.
Just calling it like I see it. You told us you really don't like X, so when given the option to vote for Y to keep X out of power, you instead literally throw your vote in the trash by voting for Z.

I guess you can get to play the "I didn't vote for X" nonsense games though and feel all smug about it.

So the best of two evils? Hellofaway to elect a POTUS. Oh...fixed it for you.

When you find a better way, let me know.

Electing ANY representative/leader is always picking the LEAST of all evils. ALWAYS. No one is perfect. Just some are better than others.

Funny how you have a distinctly higher standard for Biden than you did for Trump.

WHERE THE FUCK is your list of trump lies?

You say you'd never vote for either. But in our current system, that's actually vote for the one you like least.

Trump is an election denier as is DeSantis: Your only viable choices in 2024 are Trump (or maybe DeSantis), and Biden. Who are you voting for?

Funny how pragmatism beats idealism every time, huh? Are you going to make a meaningful vote against the election deniers?

Whatever you say chief. So what do you think about Bidens latest speech filled with lies and misinformation?

It was stupid of him to give meat to the bothsides argument at this stage.
That being said, comparing Biden's speech to anything recent from Trump is disingenuous - "A Radical Left Lunatic Judge in New York City, who controls a newspaper dedicated largely to defaming me, who was appointed, & is controlled by, my worst political enemies, & whose purpose was to just do preliminary motions & preparatory work on a case brought by the corrupt and highly partisan Attorney General of New York State prior to being routinely sent to the Commercial Division of the Supreme Court, is refusing to let go of the case," he wrote in the post. "[Engoron] is a partisan disaster. A Rigged & Corrupt System!"

Those who do not learn from history are doomed to repeat it, or the shorter version is, those who do not learn from history are idiots.

To compare Biden's occasional misleading comments to Trump's pathological lying is also insanity.

To put those two things in the same sentence I mean just shows how dishonest you can be.

I think for the most part it was mistakes, exaggerations and one misleading statement. All in all, still light years better than any current GOP candidate OR delusional libertopian clown.

MY taxes went UP slightly as a result of those so-called "tax cuts".

The only tax-related move Trump ever made that helped me in any way was eliminating the penalty for not having adequate health-coverage. (however it ALSO raised the price of insurance so at the time it was EVEN LESS affordable)
