Playing Devil's-advocate for a moment ... I can recall working in (and later running) a landscaping crew in high-school back in the early 1980's.

I STARTED at $12 an hour pushing a lawn-mower and it went up from there .... and this was almost 30 years ago!

Nearly every single one of those jobs is now done by ... erm ... those folks willing to work for FAR LESS than minimum-wage and hired daily off the street-corner for cash.
I hate to tell you this, the early 80s was almost 40 years ago. You are getting old.

By the way just so everyone knows there is not any substantial agreement that immigration reduces wages at all, much less by a large amount.

I really enjoy that even beyond the fact that this whole thread is based on a false premise, that the OP won’t stop assuming that all Indians are IT workers, that their labor value would somehow be less than a native American citizen once they are naturalized, and that his own countrymen would somehow be less competitive for these jobs. This whole thread is completely and utterly retarded with no possibility of redemption for the OP. It really exposes Trump voters for what they are .. hateful morons whose entire existence and political views consists of wishing the worst on others.

The poor kid got a jalapeno up his ass and just needs to burn it off.

Then we won't hear from him until his next goofy episode.

Oh no! More Americans! The horror!
Why should big tech companies help our education and training systems when they can get indentured servants for a lower cost? Did anyone really think that rich people and companies were fawning over Biden because they love the idea of paying higher taxes for nothing? The minor increase in taxes paid will be more than offset by Biden's influx of indentured servants and their cheaper cost of labor. No need to help develop a grass roots pipeline for a domestic workforce when you can get it cheaper and now. Since Biden doesn't think China is an economic threat, he'll make sure to double down on Chinese crap as well.

So to be clear you think having more smart, highly skilled people in the US is bad.

Lol. The dumbness. It hurts.

I guess I missed the part where Trump got companies to fund our education and training systems? How did that work, exactly? Last I checked, American citizens can't be indentured servants. It seems like you are yet another conservative that doesn't understand the article.

It would be so much better for the US if these highly skilled and highly educated people returned to their own countries so that these other countries could be the world leaders in these fields. /s

You... do realize there is nothing that stops them from doing that, right?

Especially when the home country (*COUGH* China *COUGH*) incentivizes them to do such, right?

You... do realize they are much more likely to do that if they don't have US citizenship, right?

There are zero reasons to do this other than rewarding tech companies for their loyalties and they are not some holy grail of skills and education. Big Tech gets cheap labor that is not to the same level as US tech workers and a labor pool that is more loyal. US workers don't want to get farmed out to client sites 24/7 for a fraction of what the company is billing.

The level of naivety hurts.

I’d be careful with what you believe and the stuff you read concerning anything Biden. There will be a lot of misinformation about Joe Biden, Kamala Harris, and the politics. The onslaught of misinformation could be from Russia, from China, from North Korea, or.... straight from the Twitter feed of Donald Trump. Just saying....

Damn man, thats 500.000 more democrats ... GOP will never win the presidency again!

The Indian people that I know all tend to be very conservative. They wouldn't vote for Trump again, but I could see them going for a Mitt Romney type moderate.

The Indian people I know say the Indian people you know are all lying to you.

I don't know... I've met some pretty "old school" Indian people who still believed in arranged marriage and the caste system from their old country. They also hated illegal immigrants even more than I did, mostly because they went through the bureaucratic hell of getting here legally and getting their citizenship.

Does anyone recall the OP complaining at all when Trump was hiring illegals at his properties?

The OP has no standing because #whataboutTrump

Did you not see when Modi / Trump were at a rally and they had an epic huge turn out?

As someone that has worked with India people - both offshore and onshore - you clearly don't know shit.

The Indian people that I know fucking hate Modi.

Obviously, they are all the same because they all look the same to you.

Anyway, yes...Indians definitely tend to be pretty conservative on average, but they don't always support complete fascists like Modi and Trump. Also, they understand that universal healthcare isn't socialism. You know, as the rest of the world understands as well. So, ...their conservatives are not our conservatives.
