Big Ben allegedly used Little Ben to rape woman

Wow, so the initial reports were that it was just a harassment case, but reading this account, it's allegedly a complete full blown rape:

She claims that, as she tried to leave the room, Roethlisberger blocked her path, and that he "grabbed [her] and started to kiss her."

She claims that she was "shocked and stunned that this previously friendly man, that appeared to be a gentleman in her previous contacts with him was suddenly preventing her from leaving, was assaulting and battering her."

McNulty admits that she didn't try to fight Roethlisberger, citing his size and strength. She claims that she "communicated her objection and lack of consent," and that he nevertheless began "fondling [her] through her dress and between her legs."

She claims that he pushed her onto the bed, and despite her alleged protests he "pulled her underpants off and proceeded to penetrate her."

McNulty claims that she told him, "You don't want to do this." She also claims that she said, "Please don't," and that she told him she was not on any type of birth control.

She claims that he said in response, "Don't worry, I'll pull out," which he ultimately did.

At that point, he allowed her to get off the bed. McNulty claims that she went to the bathroom, and "tried to pull herself together." When she emerged, she claims that Roethlisberger asked, "There are cameras on this room, aren't there?"

She responded by saying, "Yes, there are cameras everywhere."

If any of this turns out to be true, this is a very very bad situation for Ben, who mainly comes off as a goofy, dumb QB who wouldn't hurt a fly, but if there are indeed cameras around in the room, that should make it fairly obvious what the truth is..

Of course, there are plenty of fishy details here, as to why she waited a whole year to come out with these details, and I'm no rape expert, but is "I'm not on birth control" really what you'd say to your rapist in such a situation?

If this is fake, and it does sound a little fishy, I think they should be able to prosecute the accuser somehow. Those types of fake accusations make it so difficult for women that actually have legitimate rape cases and I bet there are many that do not even pursue prosecution because of it.

Of course if he did rape her, they should throw the book at the asshole. I can never imagine a scenario where I would even want to have sex with someone that did not want to, I just don't get it.

Well according to that article it says Ben admits to having a sexual relationship with her. He claims it was consensual... of course that's usually the first thing anyone accused of rape says.

Really? And you know this how? Are you privy to her psychiatric treatment information and willfully violating HIPAA? Or are you relying on the TMZ article? You know, the article in which "unnamed sources" are feeding them that info? As the author of profootballtalk.com states in the (now) most recent blurb, there's a very high likelihood that one of the defendants is spewing drivel 'anonymously' hoping something sticks. Take her claims with a grain of salt, but also take anything against her the same. It's a common mud-slinging defense: attack the attacker when you can't defend yourself.

I don't think she would face criminal charges if this is fake since she (apparently) did not ever file a criminal complaint. However if this is fake, and fake to such a degree as to be heinous, she could be civilly liable to one or more parties for slander and/or defamation as well as harassment.
