I'd rather have a Dem US House majority and Lipinski in than not have the majority. Also he very narrowly avoided getting primaried so he may hang back a bit if he wants more terms and since he's only 51 that seems likely.

In related news Dem turnout for the primary was 200% of 2014. GOP turnout was 70%. The enthusiasm gap seems to be growing to more of a chasm.

Yeah from looking at his policies he's definitely someone that would have been a Republican before the GOP moved ultra far right ... so like the 70's I guess. He maybe could have been a Republican up until the early 90's even.
