Yeah, I just got it for the controllers, and I'll need an extra memory card for the Japanese games once I pick up a Freeloader or Action Replay disc. The extension cable's so nice, mainly due to the original GC controllers having weak cord lengths. I threw that on the original controller, cuz the Nyko pads seem to have longer cords to begin with.
I can't see how anyone could complain about this deal if they can get in on it. I may try and go back and pick up a couple more for backup controllers (and sell off the wallets and mem cards).

Is there a way to get to an actual person on their phone system? I've been going through it a while now and it seems like it just regurgitates stuff from its web site. I emailed them but they have yet to respond (been almost two weeks now). This place seems to have horrible customer service.

Hey, Nintendo just announced a price drop of their Mario Sunshine bundle. It's dropping from $189 to $159. This is probably to balance out the fact that Nintendo will soon be giving away a free game if you buy a Gamecube for $149. Anyway, still a good deal as it will save you a few bucks from buying the memory card separately.

Media Play is offering 10% and free shipping with purchase of 2 products. Unfortunatly this excludes game consoles. Somebody might be able to use this, but with their high prices mabey not. Just go to their site and click somewhere off the front page and there should be a bar giving a link to the deal.

hmm for some reason my message didnt get posted yesterday, this is regarding the 30% off soccer slam at EB. I didnt see it. And for some weird reason soccer slam is nowhere to be found on the web. How could this get discontinued so quickly without any sorta markdown??? At amazon peeps are selling it for 70$.. and the sega site goes directly to amazon..
Any help snagging this title?? im now desperate!

Ah yes, Sega Soccer Slam, I spent many of my hours looking for that game as well. I ended up getting it from someone at eBay. However, last weekend, when I was at my local EB, I saw a couple of used copies in great condition for about the same price I paid for it online, and I think I might have seen a new copy of it as well. The important thing to remember is that EBgames.com does not, and of course cannot, reflect the inventories of the individual retail stores. So, your best bet is to head on over to EB or Gamestop and check what selection they have. Stock of Pre-Owned games changes daily so call them routinely to check.

I assume that Sega Soccer Slam is discontinued for Gamecube even though when I contacted Sega, they claimed that it was not discontinued. I do not recommend trying to buy this game new from any online vendor as it is an obsolete item and you may surely get ripped off if they claim to have new copies. Good Luck!

I just got Sega Soccer Slam from SamGoody.com for $15.49 shipped. They're running a sale: 10% off, plus free shipping with 2 or more items. There's also a $5 off of $30 coupon floating around. Made my total $30.98 for the 2 games. They shipped quickly and the games look perfect. Unfortunately, Slam is currently showing as unavailable; could be it'll be back in stock, maybe worth checking on once in a while. Ditto for NFL 2K3 (19.99, currently unavailable).

I love the "10% OFF EVERYTHING*" sale. Doesn't include videogame consoles. That's not EVERYTHING, now is it? Damn Sam Goody. :| Thought I was gonna pull off a GBA SP order for cheap.

I was just wondering the best place to pre-order Zelda at. Just went on EBGames and the price was over $60 once shipping was tacked on....I figure there has to be a better way than this. Please let me (and others who might be curious) know of any good deals, or if I should just bite the bullet and go with EB

Yeah, just preorder it from a store. Then the most any reasonable place can expect you to order is $54. EBgames offers 2 versions of the preorder though: you can get the preorder disc with the game too for $55 shipped.
I just read that the preorder bonus disc has shipped in limited quantities, so some people should expect to get them within the next few days... hope I'm one of them

Just wanted to confirm the "trade-in 3 games and get Zelda Windwaker free" deal at EB Games. If you've been getting some of the really great deals on this board, that lets you get the new Zelda for a very, very, very low price.

EB Games has an "exclusion list" of games that can't be traded in for this deal, but I was surprised that some of the games that they had been selling for practically nothing weren't on it. Here's what I traded in unopened:

Bloodrayne (from EB Games for $14.99 and I get a $20 GC for purchasing it -- made $5.00!)
Hunter the Reckoning (from EB Games for $9.99 minus $5.00 MIR = $4.99)
Beach Spikers (from CC after pricematching with BB's 9.99 price = $5.99)

Total: Since the price of Bloodrayne (-$5) and Hunter ($5) cancel each other out, it means I got the new Zelda for the price of Beach Spikers ($6) plus the tax I spent on those three games, plus the tax on Windwaker -- about $6 = ~$12!

So, it pays to get some of these deals just for their trade-in value on deals like this, not to mention that anything under $10 can be an awesome b-day present for someone else that has a GC!

is that trade-in only for GC games? Or can I try to ditch some XBox or PS2 games on them? Then again I'm sure Wreckless for XBox, XtremeG3 and MGS2 for PS2 would be excluded titles....but I could part with Hunter and Beach Spikers for Zelda (plus can get Beach Spikers again anytime at that price)

Sega Soccer slam is 24.99 preowned at EB plus there's a 30% off code.

Not as good as Sam Goody but you'll get your game.

This is bugging me that I can get 8 games that I want, 3 of them new for 104 shipped.

And I'd only have to spend 13 bucks if my MSN dollars were in effect.

Ho hum. What do I do.

What do I do. Wait? I own 17 GC games and don't play most already.

* Update

I got Circuit City's circular for 2/9 today and they are honoring the free game with console purchase.

They are also selling Luigi's Mansion, Pikmin, and Super Smash Bros for $29.99.

Apparently a bunch of stores (wal-marts and comp usa mostly) have gotten in, and are selling the zelda bonus disk, no pre-order, for $10.

Of course none of them near me have ever even HEARD of it
