Rats! I was waiting for this game to go cheaper than $20, but it went the other way. On another note, can someone confirm that NFL Blitz is still $9.99 at Walmart?

I just picked up an s-video cable from target on clearance for $4.98. It's definitely made by a third party manufacturer but all it says on there is "get into the game" for gamecube and nintendo 64. I can't test these out until I go back home for spring break. Can anyone comment on the quality of this cable? Is it even worth the 5 bucks or should I just return it?

EB has Madcatz S-Video cables (universal) for twice that price I think...might be better going with the "brand name" 3rd party.

By simple aesthetic comparisons and astoundingly similar product lines, I'm positively certain Target-brand accessories are just repackaged Mad Catz ones. I heartily recommend getting multi-console MadCatz s-video cables for easy connection; just don't turn on more than one system at a time...wonky picture and I'm sure its not good for the TV. I've got the older model that allows me to hook up my SNES/N64/Cube, PSuXone, and Dreamcast simultaneously, but the newer model has an Xbox connection in place of the DC.

Smash brothers came out the same time as the cube and only just went down. Don't hold your breath on PSO.

No reason not to get a Gamecube now . You get essentially 2 free GOOD AAA title games.

$150 gets you a Gamecube and Metroid Prime.
Add $10 or so to reserve Zelda the Wind Waker and you get that promo disc with Ocarina of Time, Ura Zelda (master quest), and tons of trailer movies.

EDIT: And the $10 you put down goes to pay for the Wind Waker so the promo disc is still free.

Thanks again Sam Goody!

Not bad, I'd have preferred NFL2K3 but:

Eternal Darkness: Sanity's Requiem
NINTENDO
Nintendo GameCube
$19.99 1 $17.99 Standard
NCAA Football 2003
ELECTRONIC ARTS
Nintendo GameCube
$9.99 1 $8.99 Standard
Smashing Drive
NAMCO
Nintendo GameCube
$9.99 1 $8.99 Standard
Merchandise Total: $35.97
Discount: ($5.00)
Shipping: $0.00
Sales Tax: $0.00
Order Total: $30.97
Credit Card Total: $30.97

Not bad..... Smashing drive is supposed to suck but for 7.27 I'll take it. It seems that I am collecting games. Up to 24.

"Get Into the Game" is Target brand (someone above said its probalby rebadged MadCatz). I bought a 3rd party Pelican S-Video cable and it works great. I would be pretty sure it wouldn't matter much what brand you did get unless its some extremeley shady one that you buy from a flea market or something.

I must reiterate. There is a HUGE difference in quality from regular RCA to S-Video (for those of us that don't have progressive scan TV's).

I called them yesterday and they quoted me that, when I went there today the stickers said $14.99, it rang up as 14.99, but when asked, they called the back and they were supposed to be $9.99, so be sure to ask.
Did anyone else find SSX Tricky for $9.99?

Dragoon, what number did you call to get that quote? I called bestbuy Customer Care (1-888-BESTBUY) and they told me that the $14.99 at bestbuy.com was correct. I suppose that they could have changed the price back since you posted last tues...

I called my local store and they informed me that it was $9.99.
I guess this is YMMV if your stores say it's still $14.99, but if you go to the store and the stickers say $14.99 make sure they confirm it, like I said at my store it even rang up at $14.99, but after told they quoted it at $9.99 over the phone they got a price check, and it was supposed to be $9.99, wasn't in the computers yet I suppose.

Just an update on the CC deal this week. You can get the Mario Sunshine bundle, which inclused the console, Mario Sunshine, and a memory card, with your selected free game (Mario Party, Metroid Prime, Resident Evil 0, or Starfox Adventures), AND you also get Bloody Roar with it too!! However, this is only for online purchases only. One drawback is that to get your free game from Nintendo and Bloody Roar free, there is a mail in rebate. So it boils down to this you get the console, Mario Sunshine game, memory card, RE0 (thats what i choose), and Bloody Roar all for $160.00 after rebate!! To top this all off, CC has free shipping. Good luck to all.

Blockbuster no longer has the $3.00 off previously used games, but they seem to have lowered their prices accordingly after the sale...

The other day I was there and saw both a Wrestling game and the NCAA Football 2003 game for $6.99 each. There were some other titles for $9.99... including Agressive Inline. Sorry that I didn't write down the other titles I saw at these prices.

(I picked up Onimishu: Warlords for the PS2 at Blockbuster the other day, but that's a different thread!)

Anyway, you might want to check out the previously used games at Blockbuster! (I saw these at the Clovis, CA store at Fowler and Herndon.) Even if you don't like the games that are that cheap, you might be able to trade them in at EBGames for Zelda or some other pre-order. YMMV, however, since when they have trade-ins they also have a list of games they don't accept for trade-in.
