The other day I was there and saw both a Wrestling game and the NCAA Football 2003 game for $6.99 each. There were some other titles for $9.99... including Agressive Inline. Sorry that I didn't write down the other titles I saw at these prices.

(I picked up Onimishu: Warlords for the PS2 at Blockbuster the other day, but that's a different thread!)

Anyway, you might want to check out the previously used games at Blockbuster! (I saw these at the Clovis, CA store at Fowler and Herndon.) Even if you don't like the games that are that cheap, you might be able to trade them in at EBGames for Zelda or some other pre-order. YMMV, however, since when they have trade-ins they also have a list of games they don't accept for trade-in.

does ebgames accept blockbuster games? i know the gamestops in the bay area doent accept them unless they cant tell its a blockbuster game

BTW: Anyone know how to fix GC controllers? I have one that seems to be perfectly fine except for the c-button. All it does is constantly register like it is moving even when it isn't. I'm hoping that something is just touching the wrong place on the inside and if I take it apart and straighten the c-button and put it back together it will just magically work, but I'm kinda doubting it.

I bought two $10 Nyko Master Packs at Best Buy but still haven't opened them in case I need to return them if I need cash. And well, I need cash for the .hack//SIGN boxset Tuesday. I'd consider returning them in favor of the $5 Pelican pack at RadioShack. Does anyone have an opinion as to which of the two controllers (Nyko vs Pelican) is the better one?

I can confirm this deal....I work at R$ and that was discontinued big time. They actually should all be sent back so it's BIG time YMMV. I picked up two at that price (plus my 25% discount). So if your R$ has it, get them before they ship them back to the vendor.

edit: DOH, I did a quote on the Radio Shack controller post earlier but apparantly the quote part didn't show up....that's the deal I was talking about if there was any confusion, my bad.

I went to my local EB this Saturday, and I bought Baldur's Gate for $20 plus tax. It seems like their prices eventually reflect the website prices, so you may want to think about picking up a copy before store prices change.

Thanks! I picked up the last two sitting behind the non-bonus packs near me. I think the CSR tried to tell me the wrong price on purpose after I had him do a price check. Too bad I was looking at the screen and showed him the clearance price. I went and got another one and he was still awestruck, asking his fellow employees why it was so cheap.

The deal with RadioShack is NOT national!! I went to mine tonight and they are selling them for $19.99 and that is what they are ringing up also. So YMMV on this deal. Good job to those that did get it though.

Okay, word of warning... I'm not sure if every copy of NBA2k3 for Gamecube is affected, but it sure sounds like enough people are having problems with it. Game crashes during Franchise and Season mode mid-game like 3 out of every 4 games I've played. It's very annoying! Made the $14.99 at EB not such a hot deal.

NBA2k2 on dc is still the best tho...... i played 2k3 on xbox its all slow n stuff now not as good as 2k2

bloodyrayne was $14.99 at my ebgames store in janurary so it should still be $14.99
i really can't recommend that game though

Haha, yes... after you've played the NBA2K line on Dreamcast, you really can't go back. I really want to know why its so different on the other systems. I need my basketball fix on the gamecube, sigh.

ya gotta luv the dc series.... i wonder wut visual concepts did to all these other systems.... i mean they r so much more powerful than the DC yet the NBA series is crappier.... i never played NFL 2k series on PS2/GC so i can't make a comment but i heard it improved.... now they just need virtua tennis 2k3 =)

i thought nba2k3 on the ps2 was actually better than the dreamcast version
although both versions are a little too easy even on all star mode

ok i jus tried that today and it is tru.... game crashes durin franchinse and season mode like 3 quarters through the game.... it is weird....... the game just freezes there.... now it makes me wonder y they were clearing 2k3 out like that =/

oh wellz i only paid 6 bucks for it cuz i had some circuit city credit leftover from PM on a giftcard.... so i guess it wasnt that bad

I used my MSN dollars on it but any amount of money spent on it, IMO, is that amount too much when you bought it solely for franchise play =P

a normal game is ok
like the quick game (exhibition) is fine
so if you bough it solely for multiplayer purpose and battle it out w/ ur friends then it was a steal
but then again u cant update roster like the other versions... they r missin yao ming... the recent seattle/milwakee trade... etc

but ya under franchise.... it crashes in the middle of a game.... and that really pisses me off =/ ahhh oh wellz

It's a wonder that Sega never caught the problem before the game was released. What happened to reliable beta testing nowadays? It's not even like its an uncommon bug -- at least two of the game's like five modes are unplayable... I have to play about 13 games before I can get through 3 games of my season/franchise.
