Best Buy has the normal $149.99 + free game deal, but this week they're also throwing in Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 3 for free, so you get two free games total.

Kind of hard not to wait until 5/4 to get Zelda for free instead, though.

I'd say if you can afford it, get cranking on the bundle deal now with Metroid Prime and still pick up Zelda

For $199 you get some of the sweetest games on the system!

I have metroid prime and zelda.
but I have never touched zelda yet. Because metroid prime is so awesome!! Took a while to get used to view and control, but now, its so schweeeeet! I just killed the flannagra, and got the varia suit. The cutscene made me come myself. I just can't wait to get other upgrades man! I got 30 missiles now, and I own!Damn the flannagra was hard to kill. That is such a great game. And I remembered why I loved consoles when I was playing sega 16-bit. Everyone, i repeat, everyone should get Metroid at $19.99. That game is worth $99 if I knew how sweet it was. Dude, get a $80 discount for playing a game u will love to death. And morph ball movement is just awesome. I play a lot of monkey ball, and it feels just like it. (hmm..) Sorry for going off topic, but buying a gamecube (i got panasonic Q) was validated just by 2 games. Metroid and SSBM. Great Single, Great Multi-player.
Guys don't wait. I have finals tomorrow, and I haven't studied yet.

Darlantan.

Yeah, but wait three weeks and you could get the Zelda bundle + Metroid Prime @ Blockbuster for $19.99... then you'd only be spending $169 for the exact same thing!

Just go to Walmart and buy their Zelda bundle for $149, then go over to Blockbuster and buy Metroid Prime or Resident Evil 0 for $19.99, _right now_. =) Walmart has had these for at least a week or more. They also include the Zelda bonus disc w/The Ocarina of Time (just like the European version of the bundle).

I didn't know WalMart had such a thing... I'll have to call one in my area and see if they're carrying it.

Can anyone confirm if these prices are still valid, and are Fry's deals YMMV? Thanks!

usually fry's price depends on the store you go to
but i can assure you that in sunnyvale store, ufc, waverace, crazy taxi, and some old football games, are for sale at 9.99
also as i mentioned, luigi's mansion is 19.99
(which i didn't PM to BB because it will drop the price to below 19.99 and i won't be able to use the gamer's gift card discount anymore -- so it's not worth driving 20 mins to get 1$ difference)

anyways, most of the time, fry's sale prices are friday to tuesday, then wednesday - thursday ... so, twice a week
the price above is valid until tomorrow (tuesday)

In the words of Ted Theodore Logan, "Most Excellent." I hope that the deals apply to the SoCal stores as well.

Alright, I was able to do this. Local WalMart had two Zelda bundles in stock (both Indigo). It's just a small sticker on the box that says it includes Zelda and the bonus games, as well as a GBA link adapter. Then I went to Blockbuster and grabbed Metroid + a free rental for $19.99... but when I peeled off the free rental sticker, it had expired 1/31/03. :frown:

Still, not bad... the Cube, Zelda, and Metroid for $170. :gift:
All I need is a memory card and a WaveBird and I will be set. Thanks for the heads up CaptainPete.

Edit: I did ask if I got another free game with the bundle, and they said no.

Got my GC yesterday! YAY! I already had Metroid Prime and Robotech from last week's posted deals (THANKS, Guys!). Got the Platinum GC, Memory Card 251, Zelda (+Ocarina of Time), Super Monkey Ball 2, and Starfox Adventures from ebgames.com (not a hot deal, but I couldn't wait any longer).

haha, I bought mine two weeks ago. Couldn't wait any longer either. Already have 1/2 as many cube titles as I do XBox and I'm going to check if my local Blockbuster still has new copies of Resident Evil 0 for $20.

Dropped by Fry's in Wilsonville, OR... unfortunately, they were out of Wave Race but I did grab Aggressive Inline for $9.90.

They had a bunch of games for $9.90 or less. Some of the 2002 sports games were only $4.90 each.

It's kind of funny, they have their GameCube stuff practically hidden compared to the Xbox and PS2. The GC demo display is even in the middle of a bunch of racks of Xbox games.

Its a conspiracy I tell you. All the big companies think Nintendo GC is going the way of the Dreamcast. So everything is on huge discount. We'll show them! By buying more and more AAA GC titles. Anyway, main part is that my local blockbuster still has many gamecube RE 0 and MP titles. I live in Ann Arbor, MI.

I just got an email saying my Ikaruga is being shipped. Got it from ebgames at $39.99 + shipping. Awesome deal for a great shooter, imo.

LOL....I worked at that Fry's. The thing is that almost all the people that work in the video game department are BIG XBox fans, so they tend to favor that (hence the big TV with the XBox's and demo on it compared to the little TV with the GC tucked away behind the XBox games) But I worked in the DVD section so nothing I could do about that....blah

Yeah, it was the same story for me at the City of Industry, CA Fry's; I ended up only getting AI, but I'll have to say that the GC game selection there is the largest I've ever seen at any store.

Hey man-

Sams Club (B & M) has many games @19.86 (give or take a few cents)

Some of them include

NHL Hitz 2002
NHL Hitz 2003
NFL Blitz 2003
Kelly ******** Surfboarding
Recent Soccer Game

a few more can't member tho
All the games have been the same for a couple months, periodically going down in price. Don't know if they are phasing out or what, but pretty good deals IMO

Wanted to point out that Best Buy is having a video game accessory sale (most things are around 10% off, you can see the prices on the website).

You can use this sale to get some OK deals; for instance, the WaveBird controller is on sale for $30.99 and if you use the Gamer's Gift Card coupon you can get it for $25.99.

I have ikaruga on the dreamcast, it is a great game if you like old school shooters, the ign review didn't really point any differences between the versions, I wonder if there is any bonus stuff on the gc game.

No, the "normal" price is $34.99, although many places do sell it for $29.99. You could try PMing but my local BB never accepts coupons after PMing.

Starfox Adventures is also $29.95. I picked a used copy Resident Evil (original not 0) for $9.99 (the sticker said $14.99 but it rang up cheaper). No manual but the discs and box are in good shape.

Does the cube have any other games that span more than one disc?
I'm pretty sure Enter the Matrix will be two discs for the cube. It'll be 6 CDs on PC. :Q
