most of the games sux, but then again some people may think otherwise...

yea that blowout sale has been going on for a few months now
they seemed to have raised the prices on a few of the games though

I was in Best Buy today (St. Louis area) and they had Minority Report and Reign of Fire for $9.99. The website shows MR for the $9.99 but does not list Reign of Fire for the Gamecube.

Which EBGames in UT did you find the bomberman wrestlemania voucher flyer in. I have asked at the Provo store several times but they have no idea what I'm talking about and I've already bought both games.

Off topic, Also did you ever work at GT Interactive? Just curious as you sound like the manual editor.

I've never been to the Provo store, just the ones around Salt Lake.

I first saw the voucher at the Cottonwood Mall store, but they didn't have both the games (*), so I called up the Gateway Mall store and they had both of them, but didn't know anything about the voucher. I told them to call Cottonwood, which they did, and after searching around a bit they were able to find it. The manager of the Cottonwood Mall store (801-424-9616) definetely is much more on top of things than anyone I've talked to at the other store.

* You had to buy both on the same reciept, something that I noticed that I forgot to mention in the original post, time to go edit it. =( Did you get them at the same time? or are still in the 14 day return window?


Never worked at GT Interactive, or been a manual editor. =) I did have a roommate who had a girlfriend that worked there though...or rather worked at SingleTrac, which then became GT Interactive.

As an update to the Bomberman/Wrestlemania Voucher, I went by the Cottonwood store today and there was one on the front of Wrestlemania. So have the Provo store call them, they should be able to set them straight.

CompUSA is having their penny shipping again. There's supposed to be some sort of game sale, but I sure can't find anything much on sale. For instance:

Platinum Gamecube w/Meroid is $144.99
Legend of Zelda: THe Wind Waker is $44.99

The only decent deal I found was on controllers.

Indigo and Spice colored controllers are $18.53, so you're looking at $18.54 + tax shipped.

OK, saw prime at BlockBuster for $20, decided to pick it up, problem is i need a gamecube... checked target, no more combos (was looking for animal crossing + mem card), went to walmart, only have metroid combo....

can someone help me find:
Console bundled with animal crossing? ... i suspect that was specific to target, will try stores in other towns tomorrow...

console bundled with zelda ? saw people getting them like on the 14th or so at walmat, wondering if mine is sold out, or the deal is over... i dont see it at walmart.com either....


worse comes to worse, i buy GC from eb refurbed and buy zelda, can anyone confirm if zelda is still shipping with the bonus disk, cuse if it is, im in on that....

gamecube + animal crossing + 251 memory card is still available a few days ago in target in cupertino, on stevens creek boulevard, near deanza college, california ... as for other target stores, the deal may vary

gamecube + zelda is supposedly in walmart, although as you said, it's not online

zelda is no longer shipping with the bonus disk. the only way to get it is to try ebay, or shell out 15$ for the bonus disk... or just wait to get lucky if someone is selling the two zelda combined

theinquirer reports platinum gamecube + zelda + zelda bonus disk for $149 ... no date tho....


gamespot is reporting that the deal goes on sale may 4th....

now.... the tough part is to find a walmart with the combo in stock, or wait till may 4th... that sounds painfull..

I've actually seen some preowned copies of the bonus disk selling at local EB's for 15 bucks. Guess some people really didn't care about it.

walmart has pikmin for $20.... walmart is nationwide!

Sidenote, I was able to pickup Metroid Prime for $20 at blockbuster new, and this morning i drove 30 mins to the recneckville target (mine didnt have any gamecube packs left) and for $150, i got animal crossing with its free mem card, smash bros mele, and a mem card $251, unfortunately i got black console and plat would have been ideal, but who cares about that....
