Does anyone know about Platinum Wavebirds? I emailed NOA, and they replied saying that the Platinum controllers are Toys R Us exclusives, but that they didn't know of any Platinum-colored Wavebirds. I wonder if the ones they are selling at VideoGameDepot are legit then.

If so, I hope that NOA brings them over here to the US

I know that they were released earlier this month along with "emerald" controllers in Japan. NOA replied that they have no idea if Platinum wavebirds will be available in the US. They also have no idea if the gameboy player will be released in platinum. The ones at videogamedepot are probably legit Japanese "silver" controllers. I get the impression that they are exactly the same as our "platinum" stuff but I can't be sure.

Cool, I'll just wait for them to be released in the US since I have 4 controllers already. Hopefully NOA will bring the Gameboy player and all of the other Japanese components to the US to help bolster Gamecube support and profits. 2003 will be a battleground for the 3 consoles as highly anticipated games are released. I hope NOA has a good gameplan.

Animal Crossing is $29.99.

Unfortunately I don't think any Blockbusters kept the Animal Crossing memory cards that came with the game. I asked at two different stores.

I dunno if this has already been mentioned, but I went by my local wal-mart yesterday, and they're having a deal where if you buy a regular color gamecube (non-platinum), you get a free regular official extra controller with the purchase of the system.

Tony Hawk Pro Skater 4 was both advertised in the Circuit City weekly ad for 12/17 - 12/21, as well as listed on CircuitCity.com for $37.99. However, the flyer for this week does not list the price of this game and the price on the web site is back up to $49.99. Don't know it this affects anyone, but thought I'd point it out.

That's funny. I was able to use a coupon on the Metroid Prime pricematch to CompUSA. I guess it depends on the store and the cashier.

Heh, I got NBA Street back in November @ target for 9.98......BUT, I ordered SSX from half.com a couple weeks ago.... Thankfully I only overpaid by about $7.

Just wanted to pass on that I got my son TY the Tazmanian Tiger for Gamecube for Christmas and he absolutely loves it! Amazon still has it for $19.99. It was definitely money well spent.

Went to KB in Lynnwood, WA. WB's not on sale. Had them scan it and check.

Shipping and tax on the Wavebird kills it for me here in WA.

Okay, I've seen deals at EB, KB, and I just heard the one from WalMart about the free controller.

Anyone happen to know the best/cheapest way to go for getting a gamecube now? I'm just about to break down and buy one, though I'd like to be as....economical as possible. I'd prefer a Platinum one, but I can settle for less.

Ideas/suggestions?

ah didnt see the toys r us b&M also has these two deals except they have some more selection
for the normal gmaes they also have bomberman generation and 18 wheeler while for activision games they have tony hawk 3 and activision mythology.
