I'm going to try very hard not to drop $100 tomorrow on Mario Party 4 and X-Men: Next Dimension for Gamecube... it's going to drive me insane, but I guess I can hold out until Christmas.

when is/was mario party 4 supposed to come out... cuz i was at my local EB on sunday and they had mario party 4 on the shelves (actual game, not some 'coming soon' box).

Eh? It's supposed to be out on the 21st. I have it reserved, after I returned Animal Crossing. I don't have the time for the game and I dind't find it that great. Good, but not worth it to me.

If you want a Gamecube - Gameboy Advance cable (like for Animal Crossing) it's $7.50 at CircuitCity.com.

Also according to IGN, there suposedly might be a rebate for buying a Gamecube and Metroid Prime.

And AUTiger, you got some mistakes in your Specials. You have the Metroid Prime and Super Mario Sunshine Bundle as the same exact thing.

Oops, a copy and paste error. I updated the Super Mario Bundle to reflect Super Mario instead of Metroid Prime. Also the Wave Race at CompUSA is sold out. Tony Hawk 3 is still available as of this post for $14.92.

Mario Party 4 and X-Men: Next Dimension have both been scheduled for 10/15 for about a month now... You should call and check again because a lot of places have them in already. Might get lucky.

Walmart.com still has Freekstyle for 49.95 and NBA Street for 29.95 for gamecube. Was at Walmart in Auburn, Maine today and found both of these titles for 19.99. Freekstyle totally amazed me though, it's still relatively new. Anyway, thats the deal.

Has anyone pre-ordered the Platinum Gamecube from EB? I saw that they moved the ship date from the 22nd to the 25th. I want to get in on the $50 voucher deal, but the packing slip must have the 27th on it. Just curious....

EB Is running a special from now until (I Think) the 27th. Pre-Order Metroid Prime and get $20 off a gamecube. Now, the question is, can this be combined with the $50 voucher, that would be a HOT deal

im in the same boat as u. also hesitating on the platinum version. what if the date gets moved back again?

I placed the Platinum cube in my cart and it said it would ship on the 27th. I dont' think I'll take the risk on this one. Chances are the games will ship to me and console will be too late and I have to go through the hassle of returning the games and canceling the console.

Yeah, the risk is too great, I think. I just ordered the Jet Black Gamecube with the 251 memory card, NCAA 2003 for $29.99 ( Madden is also $29) and SSX Tricky for $19.99. Whole thing $221 shipped overnight. And with $50 voucher, you'll get a game basically for free. Not too shabby...

i just called ebgames. csr jack said that as long as u order before the 27th you're fine. he said it doesnt matter if it ships after the 27th. so im hoping he's not lying! he seemed pretty confident about his response as well.

<edit> he's probably right since my staples packing slip says "10/16" (the date i ordered) on it even though it arrived on the 21st.</edit>

I saw a sign up at the Paramus Bestbuy:

Buy a Gamecube console with 2 games 29.99 or higher with a memory card 59 or 251 and get $30 off instantly.

The date on the sign said 11/2 so I'm assuming that's when the promotion ends. Sux cuz BB has the platinum cube listed as an 11/5 release.
