The ones that I saw here were the standard Indigo (er, Purple). Nothing too exciting.

These are completely brand new, sealed copies and retail for $49.99. You might want to call ahead to make sure and have them scan instead of just taking their word for it.

My local Costco B&M store had Zelda for $43.99 and TimeSplitters 2 for $19.99. Most of the other games were $19.99 but they weren't particularly good.

Also, don't forget to pick up your copies of NFL 2K3 and NBA 2K3, this week only at Toys 'R' Us for $9.99. Price match at Circuit City or Best Buy to get them a few bucks cheaper"

I just picked up Metroid Prime from Blockbuster for $19.99. I saw the (empty) box on display with a hard to read $19.99 sticker, and had to ask at the front counter for it. They did not have very many different games on display. Then the cashier tried to charge me $50, but I mentioned that the box had the $19.99 price tag, and he double checked, and was shocked that the price rang up for $19.99! Thanks InfiniteSadness!

Nuts! I don't even own a Gamecube...yet. I'll go looking this weekend.

Compusa has the GameCube and Metroid Prime for $99.99 no rebate.
I can't find it online but it's in the ad. (4-6 to 4-12)

That is scorching hot. I'm going to go pick up my paper right now.

So you get your ad, head down to CompUSA to get your smoking hot $99.99 Gamecube with Metroid and the salescritter points out that you still have to pay $49.99 for Metroid... But, while you're in the store...why not browse around...and really it's the same deal on the Cube that everyone else has had, so why not just buy it...

I went to a few Blockbusters looking for 'deals'...

Metroid Prime USED @ 14.99 at 2 of them... deal!

Spyhunter USED @ 9.99 at a few...

Wipeout Fusion for 9.99 (Ps2) at a few of them...

YMMV but pretty good deals - the 4 I went to all had different titles...

Circuit Ciy - FREE Starter Kit & Nintendo® GameCube? Game with purchase of Nintendo® GameCube? Console
Not scorching but it's better than what it was last week (Street Hoops). Also, Circuit City carries good supply of the platinum cubes while some of the other retail stores don't (namely Target and Walmart).

There have been more reports that target has the indigo controllers (not indigo/clear) on clearance for 10 bucks. Might be helpful for those that missed out on the costco deal. As always for target clearance, YMMV.

CompUSA's ad is more than misleading. To me, it appears to to be a total misprint.

From the ad "Nintendo Gamecube $99.99
$149.99 - 50 Bundled Instant Savings

Your thoughts?

The way I read it was this:

Buy GameCube for $149.99 along with Metroid Prime for $49.99, get $50 off the gamecube.

So you're still paying $49.99 for Metroid, but the Cube is now $149.99 - $50 = $99.99, for a grand total of $149.98. Whee! I saved a cent!

In other words, it's exactly the same deal that's been going on for months. Unless you also get a free game with the Cube (since you're `buying' Metroid)? A Cube + Resident Evil 0 + Metroid would be a decent deal for $149.99.

Did anyone else catch this from Acclaim's new press release:

"Burnout 2: Point of Impact is currently available for the Nintendo GameCube and the PlayStation2 computer entertainment system at suggested retail prices of $29.99 and $49.99, respectively."

Can anyone confirm if this is the new price? I see it everywhere for $39.99... a savings of $10.00 would be sweet.

Anyone know how I would get the Metroid Prime deal online (best buy)...or is it B&M only? BB's website shows they have Platinum GC's in stock...haven't seen one in stores in a while...
That's why I'm asking. Thanks

You mean the normal bundle? I searched around for a bit, but the only place that I could find the platinum cube in a bundle online was at compusa: compusa platinum gamecube/metroid prime.

It looks like their $0.99 shipping may be over now though.

My local BB still gets the platinum gamecubes in stock occasionally, although they tend to sell out quickly. Have you asked the salesguys if any more are comming in?

Ah, and a deal.

Pikmin and Super Smash Bros. are both $24.99 at eToys.com/KBToys.com (they look like they're the same thing). Smuggler's Run: Warzones is $16.99 and the Indigo and `Clear and Indigo' controllers are $17.99.

If you're a new customer there's a $5 off $40 coupon you can use if you want both (check ebates, or chubbywallet).

I bought a platinum cube at Circuit City last week. In addtion to Metroid (or the other three games) it came with Street Hoops. I hadn't opened Street Hoops so I just got back today from trading it for the Mad Catz starter pack which is this week's deal.
