if you already own a cube you can also get the bonus disk by subscribing to nintendo power or by registering your cube and 2 games (2 games must be either mario kart, mario party 5, mario & luigi or 1080 avalanche)
more info here

bonus disk includes zelda i & 2 (NES), the 2 zeldas from N64 and a demo of wind walker
I noticed this too. And I am wondering how the game registration will be verified since I plan on getting a second game to go with Mario Kart. Mario Party 5 comes out Nov10. Maybe there's something inside that can be used on Nintendo's site to register? Anyone want to do a little checking to see how the proceess will be like?
you get a pin # inside the game case that you use to register with if thats what you're asking about
Yep, that answers the question I have about it, thanks. At least now I know what I intend to get when Mario Kart is released.

HOLY CRAP! [EDIT](Link added)[/EDIT]

I just returned from Peachtree City, GA...

With a new Zelda Gamecube bundle pak for $79.44!

And that's not all... It includes a free game disc pouch! (Walmart exclusive? Doesn't say so on the box but it clearly isn't IGN's "official" Zelda bundle pak artwork)

That's right, they're already selling it! Because it was after midnight, the guy who opened the case to pull out the Gamecube had to walk with me to one of the front registers (Electronics was closed). When the cashier rang it up, they both looked in amazement at the insanely-low price. I asked if that's supposed to be their after thanks-giving price or something and they agreed that "it must be" but they had absolutely no problem selling it to me. INSANE!

I TRIED to get a legible shot of the receipt with the digital camera I have available to me, but no luck. Expect a scan tomorrow.

HERE is a REALLY crappy shot of the box at least. [EDIT]And here's a good scan [/EDIT

This is the Wal-Mart which had it for $7 cheaper ($92.99) recently mentioned in the main post. I figured I'd go ahead and get it because I didn't think it would be that price anymore when my friend was ready to buy one ("Securing the merchandise" for him). They were all "Jet" Black. It rang up WAY lower than I thought. When the man was unlocking the display case to get me a 'cube, I asked if they had any Indigo ones in the same "Zelda Bonus Set." He said "Yes, but they are stocked in reserves for the holidays"

Dunno why they would hold a certain color. Perhaps a misunderstanding that they were supposed to hold ALL of them?

Pics and receipt scan

Receipt convieniently includes the manager name and store telephone number for pricematch inquiries

Gamecube serial number was oddly NOT included on the receipt and was not scanned.

The cashier was trying to use the hand-held scanner but couldn't get it to work then passed it over the counter-top scanner to get the price. Never did they attempt to scan or enter the "windowed" barcode (Serial number), though I've seen other registers at other Walmart stores FORCE the cashier to do this.

Could an improper scan somehow result in the cheaper price? I'll have to buy another to find out

They had several dozen at Fry's at the beginning of the weekend.

I asked the guys at my local EB and they said they wouldn't get it any earlier than mario kart: double dash.

which comes out the 17th/18th.

Above, I half-explained it as "securing the merchandise for a friend, but I have three Gamecubes in the room ATM Mine's been broken ever since someone borrowed and returned it. I've been borrowing someone else's until the guy can afford to replace it (The friend I was talking about "securing the merchandise" for) The owner wanted his back a little over a week ago... He got it back and then for some strange reason left it over at my house yesterday. The plumber came today while I was on my way out the door to go to work. I'm sure he wondered to himself why the hell I had three Gamecubes stacked on eachother with BBAs, a Gameboy Player, an LCD and a battery pack (That's one tall stack) Anyone want a pic?

Pikmin, Luigi's Mansion and Starfox Adventures are $9.99 after $10 mail-in rebate at Hastings (Book store/Game store/Music store/Rental store).

EBGames.com had SFA for $9.99, but now you could walk out the door with it and wait for the $10 rebate check instead of waiting for your game

Super Mario Sunshine also has a $10 rebate making it $19.99

I don't think Hastings is a very common store (There is only one in my entire state), so good luck! The Hastings website's prices aren't exactly the same and show out of stock for some (Though it was in-store locally) but you can at least use it to find a local Hastings store if one exists.

ebgames.com has the broadband adapter in stock for $34.99
there is also a 10% off one accesory coupon floating around...
add in the $1.99 ebsaver shipping and you can get a broadband adapter for about $33.50
cheaper than nintendo direct and cheaper than buying retail since theres no tax when buying from ebgames.com... at least for cali residents

link!

Not that a hot a deal, more like news, but I stopped by Target B&M today and noticed they already have the Platinum Wavebirds for sale, haven't seen them anywhere else yet, priced at $29.99. Anyone know of a $25 or under deal for these?

You can try PM'ing this price at BestBuy, and then using the $5 off gamer's coupon/card. My local BB doesn't have the platinums one yet.

I tried this idea at a Best Buy in Cambridge, MA some time ago. The bastards there refused to give me the $5 coupon discount with the pricematch, claiming that their price match is an "offer". I thought that's a policy. I dunno 'bout the other BBs in the area but I was pretty PO'd there. BB may have some good things but their terminology is never straightforward.

I noticed that both Circuit City and Best Buy have Mario & Luigi for 25. I thought the price is normally 30? Is this one of those "new release" sale pitch or is this going to be their regular price?

Also, both Circuit City and Best Buy claim to have Mario Kart available Wednesday. I thought the release date is November 17th, a Monday, according to Nintendo and EB? What's going on with inconsistant release dates anyway???

This is why I haven't tried getting the PM done myself, it's double dipping and most won't let that pass without some coercion and/or luck.

I dunno about the release date, it seems to be a little hairy. In one of Frys' ad they state to get it in Wednesday as well. I guess you can try EB, they seem to get games the fastest, although you're kind of at their mercy if you don't have a pre-order. It's not certain they'll get it any faster either.

Or it may very well be the case that stores will get the games well before they advertise to release it, if they haven't got them already, and are just holding on to them before some official date they can put them on the shelves.

I'm just gonna go to Best Buy on Wednesday and pick up Mario Kart: Double Dash and Mario & Luigi: superstar saga using two gamer's coupons, then go and register them to get the promo Zelda disk.
