ugh just talked to eb. normally a ps1 is 10bucks, but with the promotion it bumps it up to 20. and now it requires 15 games, not 10, and they have to be on their approved list. what a rip! anyone who even has 15 real games should just keep it as a novelty

Second, anyone know of deals on DOA3? I guess the best we can do is 29.99 - 5 coupon at Best Buy?

I also bought an Xbox recently, I think if you take the receipt in they will probably give you the game if it is within 30 days or something. PM me if you try and it works.

Does anyone know how long the 30% off is for...they've got some great prices with that. I sent in for a PM to EBgames.com for Unreal Championship. Hoping to use the 30% off with the PM. Don't want to miss ordering XBox live and Nightfire if the 30% is only for today.

Has anybody attempted a wireless setup with your xbox and played any games with xbox live on it? What of the pings? How good is it on regular cable or dsl setups 1.5mbps/256kbs?

You might want to check out the Linksys WET11. You can do a search on Google groups on WET11 and XBOX and get several results of people using the combo for Live. I have a wired connection myself, but thought about getting the WET11 and moving my XBOX into another room.

I used the Linksys Wireless Ethernet Bridge and it works fine. Pings are the same as wired.

I use a WET11 to my D-link 900AP to my DSL and it works great. Pings are always very good and I have never had a problem with lag. I would highly recommend it, but make sure that your XBox isn't really far away from your AP.

Can Xbox wireless be used in tandem with a security key (to prevent others from accessing your broadband)?

Also, one is susceptible to viruses (no active anti-virus progam or firewall like you have on a PC) and hacking when online, right?

Only if those Lan-WAP adapters have an encryption option. I haven't seen one in the Xbox settings.

Jut to let you all know. I know PGR is $19.99 at Target and EB as stated on the first page of this thread, but now it should be offered for that price everywhere including BB who has it for $19.99 now.

Why? Because apparantly Microsoft is joining Sony & Nintendo in creating a "Platinum Hits" collection. Expected price is $19.99 like PS2.

Yeah...you know they'll hold off on Halo for a LONG time even though it's prolly their best seller and should be the first "Platinum Hits" game. They'll at least keep it high priced till Halo 2 comes out in the summer...

I'm actually waiting on PGR 2 also...it's gonna be Live enabled...should be nice to race other ppl.

Also I picked up PGR from BB for $19.99 - $5.00 gamers coupon. SWEET! Except, it was the original, so even though the website has the "Platinum Hits" picture on the site, I didnt see any in the store...not even for Amped or Munch's. (although both games were at the $19.99 price anyway)

EB Games is having a "blowout" sale as we all know. But I just realized that the list is updated almost daily. New items are being added so I advice you guys to keep looking.

I got my xbox (with sega GT and JSRF) and an AV cable with S-Video and a 8mb memory card on friday from Fry's for 199.9... it was a bundle deal.

Also I need help pricematching. I got a rude employee at BB that told me they dont pricematch EB. When I asked why, he said because they sell used games. I calmly explained that the game I wanted was brand new and he can call them up and ask. Then he said he needed proof on paper. He wanted something to staple to the store's copy of the receipt. Well I got to EB games (pretty mad) 2 blocks away looking for some sort of ad but then I and just decided to buy it there.
