Just giving an update on my bogus EB deal on MGS2. After a few calls and lots of bitching I got the district manager for the whole Northwest region on the phone. Didn't take long for him to have a copy waiting for me at the nearest EB for the $19.99 price (I guess this is a permanent price on it now as the display boxes all were marked $19.99). He also told me that for any game not in stock you can put money down (like $5) and they will call you when it comes in and hold it until you get it. The cool thing about this is that it locks in the game to the current price. Wish the a-holes working that day would have suggested that to me instead of running me through hell and back to get this game. Just thought I would pass that putting money down thing on in case some didn't know about it......I also saw that Tony Hawk 4 was marked $39.99, so I guess it's done a price drop (don't remember if that was said or not). Keep up the great deals, wish I hadn't missed out on the Buffy one

Sorry everyone who wanted Buffy didn't get one. I just got my XBox 6 weeks ago and Buffy is my favorite game so far.

And just a word to the a-holes that buy 7 copies of a game and try to find the best place to return them for the most credit: you probably wouldn't have gotten ANY copies if it were not for the forum and the members who share the deals posted here. You take those extra copies from the hands of your fellow forum members.

I can see your frustration with people doing that. I kinda do something similar but in not such a bad way. I used to work at Fry's so some of the games that were like $20 I could get on discount for around $10. I would then take them back to Fred Meyer (local store that has a VERY giving return policy and almost NEVER drops the price on games) for store credit. The games I do this with are just old ones that Fry's has HUGE stock on.....I've never done it with a killer deal such as Buffy was. But apparantly with the EB policy you can put money down on a sold out game to lock it into that sales price......that will at least make sure you get a copy of that game at the sale price when it's in, yet still kind of a pain to have to drive there twice to get it instead of it just being there the first time.

Also, what other games do you suggest? prolly halo, msg2 (if its still $20) and one other game... and maybe live, an xtra s-controller and/or dvd playback kit depending on how much $$$ i have left

If you have a decent PC, I will just skip Halo (I know I'm going to get flamed). It's just another FPS that I would rather play other PC FPS and you can use the best fps combination, i.e. mouse + keyboard, totally don't understand what's the hype of it. DOA3 might be just another fighting game but it's graphics can't be beaten by any other game in any platform yet.
