If you're lucky, you can pricematch it to BestBuy and use one of their $5.00 off Gamer coupons, or use the 10% off BB Preferred Customer Coupon

Will this be advertised in their weekly ads? I have a bunch of store credit @ Toys R' Us and would like to use it, but last time I tried a PM, they said that it needs to be printed in an advertisement.

Stealth,

Yes, in the CompUSA Sunday flyer, it says on the back page: "SAVE $10 Instantly on any Xbox Game Purchase! Offer valid on products regularly priced $49.99. Not to be combined with any other promotions. Price adjusted at cash register."

So Toys 'R Us should be willing to pricematch.

I had some credit I used at Toyrs'us, and I received the runaround on pricematching also. I asked them to just call them (there wasn't a single customer in the whole store) and they told me that can't do that. I told them that Ebgames doesn't really have an ad. Finally I just went to Ebgames and bought the game and took them the receipt, and even though they still didn't want to pricematch, I talked them into it. And Toys'r'us wonders why their business is going down the tubes.....
You would think they never heard the term customer service....

I think the 10% off coupon says "regularly priced merchandise" and excludes "any other offer." I wouldn't be surprised if they consider PMing an "offer."

So, just KIM that YMMV on using the 10% off with a PM at BB.

Buy.com
$20 off $200 first time customers only
I added an xbox $199.99 and if you choose free shipping 7-10 days then it's total is $179.99.
Hmm...I'm not a new customer but if seems to work...stupid tax (I'm in CA) is $13.05 so total for me would be $193.04.
I don't wanna wait 10 days so going to best buy to get an xbox since mine broke last night and I cussed up a storm.

Is that $12 off Ghost Recon and $12 off Xbox Live, or is it $12 off Ghost Recon when you buy XBox Live as well? If it's $12 off both then 'll be picking up Ghost Recon, if not just Mechassault and Live

From what I'm readin, its just $12 off ... Not $12 off each.

In terms of the BB thing, I figured its pretty much YMMV ... Thats why I said if you're lucky ... Probably should have put YMMV in there too.

Oh, and here's something some of you near a Fry's might want to look into. I used to work at the Oregon Fry's and we got in 15 copies of Halo that were supposed to go out free with the first XBox's sold. Well we never gave them out, so to this day they're still sitting there. These are "not for resale" copies, so they can't be sold. They have been giving them to employees who purchase an XBox, but if a customer came in and asked about it, then they would get a copy for free with purchase of an XBox. So some of you might want to check this out if you have a Fry's near by....they might have the same situation. Here's the deal my friend who works there got since he could use employee discount:

XBox with JSRF and Sega GT $149.99 (adjusted $50 to make Halo free)
Halo $1 (had 100% mark up since it was not for resale, so employee discount made it this cheap)
S-Controller $25 (employee discount)

Total: $176....one hell of a deal (if you work at Fry's, try this out)

It is an official MS controller, also known as the Japanese Edition S Controller.
I got mine for $19.99 (used the $5 GG coupon) from BB.

The only differences between the Japanese edition and the regular North American "S" (besides the green jewel) that I know of are:

* A, B, X & Y buttons have a different feel (some say better)
* The cord is shorter (8.2 feet rather than 9)

Yeah, I have an official US 'S' controller, and one of the initial Japanese 'S' controllers, imported from NCSX.com and I definitely prefer the Japanese version to the US one cuz of the buttons (the triggers also have a slightly different feel to them, the US version is a little more stiff I think).

I went to CC tonight to pick up Bloodrayne and get the 110% adjustment and it was priced at $49.99. Sweet, I'll get $2.50 back tomorrow, but when they scanned it, it came up at $29.99. Oh well, only gonna get 50 cents, but TallGeese may want to note that the regular price is $29.99 now at CC.

You may want to get that from EB since EB is offering the game at $29.99 and they are offering a $20 EB gift coupon by mail for BloodRayne

I wonder about a few things regarding Bloodrayne

Could you use the EB gift card coupon at CC to basically get this for $4.99 or get EB B$M to price match then use the coupon there ?

The EB GC comes by mail AFTER you buy Bloodrayne, and can only be used at EB.

2nd order of business: are you sure the compusa add is saying 10 off any xbox game? the way i read it, you get 12 off ghost recon w/ purchase of xbox live, or 10 off any other game if u purchase it w/ xbox live... i could be wrong, though... i sure hope i am

EB also has the Japanese Limited edition S controller for $25. Costco has the Standard / American S Controller for $22. However, you need to be a Costco member and they're actually a bit hard to find at Costco B&M (at least my local store). Also, S&H from Costco website is $6.

I think the arms on the Japanese S are thinner and not as "full" as the US version. I like the overrall feel of the Japanese S better as well, but I'm still lobbying for something in-between...maybe an "American M" version (medium ).

I picked up one of the refurb xbox's that came with the original controller, and I've got to say I'm pretty happy with it. Now when I go back to my ps2, the controller feels small and cramped, sort of like trying to "write" with a pda stylus.

Am I the only one who likes the big controller?
