This game got a really
good review @ IGN. a 9.3!!1 Anyone here played this? I would like some more opinions please.
Deathrow really shines in the multiplayer modes, altho the single player game is good too. It's kind of a hybrid sports/fighting game that supposedly is a heckuva lot of fun to play with a group of folks.
Can I print out the EBgames.com page and take it to BB to have it pricematched. What exactly do I need to take with me to do a pricematch at BB? Last time I was there, I got a really rude employee.
Big shock about the rude employee at BB.
BB sucks, except for PMing sometimes, but even then it can be a REAL hassle.
BB as a rule won't match Internet prices in-store.
It has to be a local competitor.
So here's how I would play it:
Make sure a local EB has Deathrow for $24.99
Go to BB, buy a Gamer's Gift card (put $5 on it or something) that includes a $5 off coupon for anything game related over $19.99
Walk outside.
Scope out some women. (Well, I wouldn't do this part since I'm married. And my wife lurks AT sometimes. Hi honey...I love you!)
Go back inside.
Take a copy of Deathrow back to the Customer Service Desk.
After they ring it up, tell them you think EB has it cheaper.
They will call and verify the price to match.
When she ask for payment give her the GG card, plus the included coupon.
That should make it $19.99 before tax and less the value of the GG card.
YMMV is ALWAYS the operative word.
Best Buy stores can behave MUCH differently from each other...since a lot of the discretion for matching is left up to the individual managers.
Case in point:
When I tried to match the CC deal of "Buy 2 Platinum Hits, Get the 3rd FREE" last week, at the first BB I went to (just up the street from Skoorb, BTW), the asshats in Customer Service would not allow me to buy a green cover copy of Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind, even tho it is now officially a Platinum Hit.
I simply left, and drove 10 minutes to another Best Buy. They matched it including Morrowind without a struggle, congratulated me on the deal, and wished me a nice day...easy as you please.
