What is the PM policy for CC? Do they really PM the item with 10% off more? So like, 110% then?
CC and BB (and maybe others) offer 110% of the difference. So a CC 110% PM would work out like this example:

$49.99 = CC original price for item

$29.99 = CC PM to competitor price for item (in this case, a $20 difference)

$27.99 = CC additional 10% of price difference (in this case, 10% of $20 = $2) = FINAL PRICE

ONly thing about the 110% PM tho is that the extra 10% only comes post-sale which is stupid. Like if you bring an ad to the counter when buying something, then you get an even PM (100%). But if you buy it first, then take it to the customer service counter and PM, then you get 110%.

Thanks Tallgeese... I am so excited about it. Do you have this info on the web? Where I can get this information from?, to make sure that they would not denied that? Is it listed on the store?

Here is CC's posted info for in-store PM (from CircuitCity.com)
In-Store Price Match Plus Guarantee (for purchases made in one of our stores)

Nothing's worse than paying too much. That's why we do everything in our power to make sure you don't pay a penny more than you should for anything you buy at Circuit City. If you've seen a lower advertised price from another local store with the same item in stock, we want to know about it. Bring it to our attention, and we'll gladly beat their price by 10% of the difference. Even after your Circuit City purchase, if you see a lower advertised price (including our own sale prices) within 30 days, we'll refund 110% of the difference. We're with you!

Our policy applies only to advertised prices. It does not apply to special offers or promotions, including rebates, free-with-purchase offers, and special financing.
Best Buy's policy will be posted on a HUGE sign near their Customer Service department usually.

Yeah..that can kinda be a PITA sometimes, but it can also work out to better savings.

At Best Buy, if using a 5$ off coupon will get me a lower price than the extra 10% of the difference, then the ability to just do a straight 100% PM is actually handy.

Zerocool2k3,

I priced matched for another game and I chose splinter cell. But then, they wouldn't let me pricematch splintercell But I told them that I could just buy another game seperately so at the end they gave in and I got a 20 dollar pricematched difference from splinter cell. But that 20 dollars was in store credit.

I didn't see it posted in the Big List, but NCAA College Basketball 2K3 is $39.99 at Circuit City. Now to shoot over to BB for a little PM mixed with a Gamer's Card discount.

Just picked up Exhibition Disc #2 for $5 at Target. Pretty cool, you get the whole Japanese version of Capcom Vs. SNK 2 EO (minus online and saving, but the whole thing is unlocked so you don't need to save). I thought the game would be better, though... the graphics on the characters are cheesy.

The rest of the disc is nice too. There's about 8 other demos, a bunch of gameplay videos, a long replay of the Halo Nationals tournament, that BMW film, other videos, about 10 MP3s, and some downloadable content (so you don't have to download it, I guess). Way better than the OXM disc has ever been.

Hi all,

I have a questions for you. I want to buy a new game and I saw on this post that CC has special on Metal Gear Solid 2:Substance. Anybody play this game before? What do you think about this game?, because I am thinking to get this before the sale is over. I am also thinking that should I use my budget to get this game Metal Gear or Hitman 2. Any body play hitman 2? Which one is better? Any opinions is greatly appreciated. Thx....

I scored MGS2 : S when EB had it for $19.99 a few months ago and so far has only been the only game I regret purchasing. Most of my friends liked the MG series on PS I thought it should be good, but, I hate it. I beat Hitman2 on the computer, and loved every minute of it. I assume the storyline is the same and the controls are similar , so I suggest Hitman2.

I bought into the MGS2 hype as well and think it's a yawner. After playing Splinter Cell, the fixed and mediocre camera views are weak. Oh well, it was only a Jackson.

MGS2 suffers from cut-scene-itis IMHO.

If you like more action and tension, without being interrupted ALL the darn time by expository cutscenes, then go with Hitman2.

Welll, it also doesn't help that MGS2's cut-scenes/storyline turn into utter fricken CRAP!

I still haven't started playing mine because I get the feeling the storyline will bore me. Plus I played Splinter Cell already, and I get the feeling it won't compare, even though I really enjoyed the first one.

This game got a really good review @ IGN. a 9.3!!1 Anyone here played this? I would like some more opinions please.

BTW can I print out the EBgames.com page and take it to BB to have it pricematched. What exactly do I need to take with me to do a pricematch at BB? Last time I was there, I got a really rude employee.

Thanks.

Deathrow really shines in the multiplayer modes, altho the single player game is good too. It's kind of a hybrid sports/fighting game that supposedly is a heckuva lot of fun to play with a group of folks.

Big shock about the rude employee at BB.
BB sucks, except for PMing sometimes, but even then it can be a REAL hassle.
BB as a rule won't match Internet prices in-store.
It has to be a local competitor.

So here's how I would play it:

Make sure a local EB has Deathrow for $24.99
Go to BB, buy a Gamer's Gift card (put $5 on it or something) that includes a $5 off coupon for anything game related over $19.99
Walk outside.
Scope out some women. (Well, I wouldn't do this part since I'm married. And my wife lurks AT sometimes. Hi honey...I love you!)
Go back inside.
Take a copy of Deathrow back to the Customer Service Desk.
After they ring it up, tell them you think EB has it cheaper.
They will call and verify the price to match.
When she ask for payment give her the GG card, plus the included coupon.
That should make it $19.99 before tax and less the value of the GG card.

YMMV is ALWAYS the operative word.
Best Buy stores can behave MUCH differently from each other...since a lot of the discretion for matching is left up to the individual managers.

Case in point:
When I tried to match the CC deal of "Buy 2 Platinum Hits, Get the 3rd FREE" last week, at the first BB I went to (just up the street from Skoorb, BTW), the asshats in Customer Service would not allow me to buy a green cover copy of Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind, even tho it is now officially a Platinum Hit.

I simply left, and drove 10 minutes to another Best Buy. They matched it including Morrowind without a struggle, congratulated me on the deal, and wished me a nice day...easy as you please.

This is really frustrating guys,

I went to Walmart and bought the exhibition disk 2 and the jap. cap vs stf won't work! It keeps on crashing my x box or it clitches! I don't know if it's my x box or not but I took the game back and exchanged it for another and the new one does the same crappy thing! I am now starting to worry so if any of you guys bought the exhibition and encounters the same problem please let me know so I would feel better. If you guys think it is the x box please give me some suggestions as to what I can do. Splinter cell works fine on my X box so I don't know. Any feedback appreciated.
