I bought the demo disk the other day, played SNK for about 20 minutes, no problems on my xbox.

I seem to have the same problem with Ghost Recon. It freezes up a lot, and it stalls/stutters almost every mission. I even exchanged it for a new copy and it does the same thing. So annoying...I really like the game, but that's the reason I dont play it, I hate having to get up to reset or play a mission again just because it screwed up.

While looking up reviews on some of these games, I stumbled on this page at allxbox.com that lists the best prices online for all XBox games. Not sure how these compare to what TallGeese has already posted, and I don't know if someone has already posted this info, but I thought I'd pass it along for those that want to study the page.

Heh....I used to have that price engine at AllXbox.com linked in the list, along with Pricegrabber.com, and GamePriceZone.com.

Unfortunately they got in one of the list corruptions, and I've been too lazy to try to find them again.

Thanks man! I'll add it back in on post #2 or something!

Morrowind is prolly low stock or out in most stores right now, since it is being released in the new Platinum Hits packaging this month.

OK, just got back from Media Play and something odd happened when I did my rebuy and return of Silent Hill 2. I picked up the "8 Mile" DVD and SH2 and went to the register. The game scanned at $19.99, but the cashier looked at it a second and overrode it to $16.99! I have no idea why and I wasn't gonna ask, but the only thing I can think of is that they're offering $3 off any CD ($14.99+) or DVD ($19.99+) and maybe she thought it applied to games. (It doesn't.) So MMV, but a heads up to anyone who was planning on picking up "8 Mile" and a game anyway. (I wouldn't make a trip.)

BTW: Tao Feng got slapped with a meager 7.25 in Game Informer, GameStop's magazine. They said it's graphics over substance. Hopefully, it'll dropped into the Dark Angel price range quickly. Heh.

I was in my Best Buy today and had so much trouble with the CSRs. I was getting two of the Platinum Hits (for the $10 GC), and I handed her 2 of the $5 coupons. Since the computer (or the programmer that designed it) is too dumb to realize that each game should have 1 coupon applied to it, it wouldnt take a 2nd coupon. So she calls another CSR. The other CSR says that it wont work because I'm not allowed to use the coupons and still get the GC. I told her it doesnt say so in the ad. She says since the coupon says it cannot be combined with any other offer, etc. I cant do it. Dammit...I hate BB...I swear, they are soooo YMMV sometimes.

Also, I went in to buy a CD that was advertised. I couldnt find it, so I get the guy to help me. He doesnt leave his computer and says go look there, I look and tell him it's not there. He says they dont have it then. So I goto Customer Service to see if another store has it. The CSR says that his computer says he has 3. I said your employee said he doesnt. CSR calls another employee and says bring this CD. Guy comes back in 2 minutes with the CD. The first guy was still typing away on his dumb computer.

On a lighter note, I compensated by getting a raincheck for a harddrive where the ad says "no rainchecks" =)

Darn little in the Sunday papers other than a repeat of last week's Media Play deal with ONE extra title with bundle purchase and Splinter Cell, Ghost Recon and something else for $37.99 somewhere else. (Can you tell I'm sick and don't really care?)

At GameStop though, they're selling refurbished Xboxs for $150 with a FREE Xbox t-shirt and Fusion Frenzy thrown in. (While supplies last.) Remember, this isn't the Sega bundle unit, so you'll be shelling out for games just to get going.

Hi all,

Sorry never played or heard of these games Zerocool2k3.

Update on my xbox, I called the xbox company and they said that most likely it's not the demo disk (considering I exchanged it) so the "receptionist" thinks that it's probably bad "saves" causing this demo to run bad so he suggests that I go and exchange for a new system since I bought this system last week at bestbuy. Hopefully I will be able to beat splinter cell soon so I can go and exchange it within the 15th day? or the a month. Don't remember, but since I couldn't find other people complaining about the exhibition disk 2 demo of cap vs stf locking up, I guess I will have to play on the save side and exchange the system. Any suggestions? Thanks

I can confirm also. I picked up the last copy at the EB @ Green Acres Mall in Long Island. I love the dumbfounded look on the employees faces when they see the price. The guy joked about selling it to me as Pre-Owned and I laughed at him and said nice try.

Thanks for the Shenmue 2 deal. I was able to do the 110% pricematch at BestBuy (selling it for $29.99). I didn't bother trying at CircuitCity since they wouldn't PM Buffy back when it was $9.99

Haven't seen this posted anywhere yet, and it's not on the `big list'.

I was at my local Costco last night and they're got a $25 rebate going on their Xbox bundle (normally $239.99; standard 2 game Xbox bundle w/extra S controller and DVD playback kit), making it ~$215 + tax after rebate. Not too shabby, although not as good as the Toys 'R Us deal (is that still going on? my local Toys 'R Us didn't have any mention of it in their store on Monday).

I'm headed out there again tonight to see if they've got the Futurama DVD set in, so I'll check to see if there were specific dates mentioned on the rebate.

No need to check B&M I guess. Go to costco.com and if you buy it there from the 25th-31st of March they'll take the $25 off at checkout and shipping and handling is included in the price! So, $214.99 + tax shipped with no rebate hassles!
