Tony Hawk 4 seems to have had a price drop. $29.99 at EBWorld and a few other places.

Anyone have experience with ordering used games from ebgames.com? The two used games I ordered still haven't shipped and it's been one week. I do understand that used games may not be readily available, but the site said it had them.

Not to scare you, but YMM definitely V when ordering preowned titles from EB Games. I've only ordered one and it came in about a week in excellent condition, sans the PO price sticker on the case. However, I've heard many a horror story about getting scratched discs, missing instructions and even coming in a generic black DVD case rather than a green MS one.

As for shipping information, I'd call CS (1-877-432-9675) and see what the hold-up is.

BTW, EB may be slow with rebates but they are VERY good. I sent in my Bloodrayne $20 rebate the first week of January, and it turned out to be MIA. So I called them and they said if I still had a copy of the original receipt (which I did, thankfully) I could just fax it to them and they would honor it. I faxed it on Monday and got my rebate check by Friday! Call the rebate department toll-free number (different from orders - 1-800-800-5166) and they will tell you the status of the rebate, or more importantly if they've ever received it!

I don't know if this is just my EB, but it appears that they have the new Sega Bundle Xbox for $150.

"Rumours" I've heard is that some store owners are recieving the posters they put in store windows for the new prices. Apparently to be announced at E3. Like I said, just rumours I heard from someone claiming to be a store owner and getting these posters or ads in the mail this week.

Beast Buy:

FREE Xbox Power Pad and Platinum Hits game with console purchase.
THPS4 & Splinter Cell - $29.99 HOT!!!

CompUSA:

FREE w/console, choice of NBA Inside Drive 2003, Blinx, Oddworld or RalliSport Challenge

Circuit City:

$10 Gift Card instantly with purchase of Enter The Matrix (5/15)

Target:

$5 Gift Card when you reserve Enter The Matrix ($10 down)
Platinum Hits - $16.88 (Obi-Wan, Max Payne, SpyHunter and Simpson's Road Rage pictured)

Not a lot this week, but the BB deals are good. Cheers!

Are you talking about the $50 mail in credit deal or have you actually seen a poster/flyer that says the Xbox is $150? While an E3 price drop seems possible, I won't believe it until I see it.

There would be a huge thread about console price cuts the _day_ that I finally got my Xbox (been buying games for a month now waiting!).

Here's the deal that I finally ended up with (good till 5/6). I'm still a little skeptical about it, but the manager of the store was pushing it and I talked to the manager of the other EB games out here that I trust to be on top of things and he confirmed it.

The standard EBGames in-store Xbox deal:

Buy an Xbox bundle for $199.99, a type-s controller or DVD playback kit, and either the Xbox Live starter kit or a new game $39.99 or more and get an extra free game (there were six titles: Oddworld, Rallisport Challenge, Amped, Blinx and Fusion Frenzy) AND send in for a $50 voucher.

So total: $199.99 + $29.99 + $49.99 = ~$270 + tax - $50 = ~ $230. (You could get it for $10 cheaper if you bought a $39.99 game, but try and find one that's decent!). Not too bad, except that they're also allowing it with the Refurbished systems, apparently due to a misprint on the voucher form (one side says that Refurbished systems are valid, althought the refurbished SKU is never mentioned). So knock another $50 off! You just don't get the bundled GT2002 and JSRF, but your total `cost' is ~$180. The Refurbished systems at my local EB had type-s controllers.

So just think of it as `buy a refurbished system and a second controller, get two games free. =) Of course, if the price of a new system drops to $150, then it's only a mild deal, but the system that I got looks brand new (manufactured December 2002) and I got a new controller, so I can live with it.

As I posted before and saw during my visit to Gamestop last Monday, The Thing is $9.99 new, along with LOTR: FOTR and something else. (Look it up, my head hurts. Damn cold.)

Ah, I didn't realize that this was still the price there. I checked their web page when I was looking around and it's $27.99 for a used copy. There is no price for a new one though, so I just figured that they had jacked the price on the new one back up.

Just got back from Best Buy:

Chase: Hollywood Stunt Driver $14.99

And surprisingly they had a ton of copies of SSX Tricky. This was the Ridge Road Best Buy in Ohio, may not be everywhere.

How is the game? Gamespot gave it a 6.5 out of 10 saying that it's fun but too short.

It's supposed to be a hell of a lot better than Stuntman from what I've heard. I bought SSX Tricky instead, although I should have grabbed them both.
