I did see where a few placed dropped the used price to 129... at that price I would think about it...

I can't speak about refurbished Xboxes specifically, but...

Refurbished items have already had their problem/weakness discovered and corrected. And they generally come with at least a 90 day warranty in case that problem (or anything else) flares up.

Seems like a good deal to me.

I haven't seen the $129 refurbs anywhere. At that price I would buy it for mods.

An update for the main post: it looks like the Dead or Alive deal at kbtoys is dead. At least it comes up $49.99 for me.

it must have been 2002, because just got back from tgt and 2003 had new shelf ticket of $49.99 sorry
did notice they had the new sega bundle scanning @ $199.99 (made clerk get it out) and has anyone posted crash being $29.99? also triple play 2002had shelf ticket of $29.99...

Did you guys see this over @ CompUSA? Project Gotham Racing for $14.92. Shipping is probably around $5. Game is as-is/clearance for some reason - I guess CompUSA's blowing them out...

Wow, the controller (not the S, but still a Microsoft one) is only $14.95 on Compusa's site. That's the cheapest I've seen it by $10 or so. Also, they have quite a few other games on the site for $14.95. I thought Rallisport at Target for $24.95 was a good deal, now it's not looking so hot. I also bought PGR when I first got my Xbox a couple months ago for $40 used. Ahh, what a sham.

The rumor going around is that the original controller is going to be phased out in favor of the type-S.
