I actually ended up going to KBToys to pick up a rebate form and I called the number on the back. Surprisingly I was able to speak to someone in less than 1 minute and they told me that the existing rebate coupons are valid to the end of this month. At EB they had no DVD kits with the sticker, they didn't know about the extended offer, and they didn't offer to match KBtoys price of $199 with a free $20 Gift coupon. I ended up going to Best Buy and pricematching to get a Best Buy gift coupon since I have Metroid Prime pre-ordered there. I ended up using a gamer's gift card to get the DVD kit for $24.99, but I think MS will only send me $25 and not $30.

I used to play Jet Grind Radio on my DC and I was amazed with how much smoother and nicer Jet Set Radio Future feels. I also played a little Shemnue 2 on it and it looks and feels a little better than my DC import. I'm happy with my Xbox and I can't wait until Panzer Dragoon Saga comes out!

So ended up paying the equivalent of $180 + tax and I got the DVD for free after rebate. I have so many DVD playback devices around here that part of me wants to put the DVD kit on Ebay and the other part just wants to keep it (even though there are now 2 DVD players connected to the same TV).

Nice deals at Target. I went down to my local Target today and the guy told me that things are put on clearance every Monday and he told me to check every Monday. Please talk to your local store's help to find out if things are different in your local store. This will hopefully save you some time so you go focus your deal-hunting energy on other possible deals.

The Target I went to didn't have a single thing on clearance that I could see. Do they keep them near the main cases or ar they elsewhere?

Also, do you need to buy the DVD kit at the same time, on the same receipt as the Xbox? Since I thought it was dead, I didn't bother with it the other night.

My target has clearance games on the aisle behind the game display, the same aisle as the controllers and other accessories. I found the clearance RF Adapters and other adapters on an end cap that had other clearance electronics on it.

I heard the 15th tonight at EB. They said the street date was pushed back (prolly more to coincide with the Official Live rollout date...prolly to piggyback on the publicity )

The wording on the original coupon as I remember it EXPLICITLY said that the item DID NOT have to be on the same receipt. Only that the qualifying items were bought within the given time frame.

Might wanna call MS to check, just to be sure tho.
