If anyone is interested, I saw Xbox live at Media Center (attached to a Micro Center) at Columbus, OH for $42.99. Sounds like a decent deal if you didn't take advantage of the Compusa bundle deals. You can also try PMing at BB and using the $5 gift coupon to get it for $37.99 (I've had luck doing that kind of stuff around here, but those of you living in more metropolitan areas may have problems).

You sure its Splinter Cell for 34.98? I thought it was Time Splitters 2 that is going to be that price? (which I heard is also a pretty good game)

I saw the jpgs of the ad today and it was TimeSplitters 2 for $34.99. I didn't see Splinter Cell anywhere.

I don't know about free, but CompUSA has $.01 shipping on several titles, including Splinter Cell. I bought it there last night for $40.49, including shipping (unfortunately there was also ~$3 in sales tax since they have stores in Washington).

So check your Target clearance purchases CLOSELY, especially if you aren't sure you are gonna keep it or not.

You mean return a game after opening it? Or before? I thought that no store lets you return games that have been opened. Am, I wrong?

I work at EBX and we take back pretty much anything within the 14 day return policy... this one guy comes in once a week and exchanges the game he bought the week before for something new. Kinda cheap if you ask me, but whatever. If the games are opened we only give store credit, but that is fine if all you want to do is 'rent' a new game every week or two like this guy.

And btw, we are selling our refurb xboxes for $150 (and I'm pretty sure that is national).

Not sure if this has been mentioned yet (long thread) ebgames has 20% off preowned games including xbox. The code is even listed on their website. By going through the MSN checkout I was able to use the code on more than one order. Not sure if this is a coincidence. They are also listed for the MSN rewards program (20% merchandise rebate). So you end up with 40% in savings. I have no problem buying preowned vs new. Ghost Recon is available as preowned for those looking for xbox live games. As long as they are not all scratched up they work just the same. Every preowned game I ever purchased looked like new.

NICE find if it works...but are you SURE the MSN Rewards are valid on pre-owned merchandise?
