800!!!!

Shameless post, kinda, but also a note that I am pruning the "Specials" section (FINALLY).
If you guys know of any deals in the "Specials" section that are definitely NOT valid anymore, PM me.
I appreciate any help I can get pruning the list.

Ummm....do you mean Unreal Championship?

If so, where is it available for the $29.99 you mention?

OH MAN!!!

SUPA-HOT DEAL FOR GERMAN XBOX BUYERS!

Apparently, the holiday Xbox package which includes JSRF and SegaGT has generated a substantial increase in sales in Germany - enough to convince Microsoft that by throwing in Halo on top of the deal, they'll convince everyone who still hasn't bought an Xbox to do so. So everyone who buys the Xbox holiday package between December 11 and December 31 will also receive a free copy of Halo too.

All I can say is....WOW!!!

No idea if this deal will happen in any other region...

BTW: I STILL say that if MS released a version of the original HALO that would support MP over XBL, they wouldn't be able to make consoles quickly enough to keep up with demand.

yeah i mean uc, guess ive been playing too much ut2k3 for my own good, uc is 29.99 at compusa if you buy the xbox live bundle and 39.99 if you just buy the game, she would have made a mistake at the 29.99 price, but oh well

Better believe it. Same here! Although it's more of a present for her. Since she's going to be staying with me for all of January, while I'll be going to school, she'll be playing Xbox (she loves cars, so all I'm gonna hear when I get home is the roar of engines. I know she's gonna crank the surround sound up). How unfair is that?

Smolek, can you please not quote large posts like that, there's just no reason for it. It's a pain scrolling through a huge list once, but even more so twice. Thanks.

Thanks Smolek, I appreciate it. TallGeese pointed out to me that I should of PM'ed you instead. I didn't think of doing that when I was replying, but now I realize I should of. Sorry if it did any harm. We're all friends and are here for the same reason, right?

I own both the American 'S' controller and the Japanese 'S' controller (imported one from ncsx.com awhile ago), and the Japanese 'S' controller has much better buttons imho. The controller itself isn't much different than the American 'S' controller, but something about the buttons makes it feel better. The plastic used must just be different... If you're used to the American 'S' controller already then it probably makes no difference.

Hmmm I'm looking @ Circuit City's website & it says that games are available for direct ship only... is this a B&M deal or online as well?

is that the only deal ? Also is that with the MSN rebate ?

They'll also have THPS4 (PS2) for $36.99.

And these are the regular sale price; after the MSN rebate, your net on each game is $29.59.

Doesn't matter...from the CC website:
Circuit City's Price Match Plus

On-line Low Price Guarantee
(for purchases made on circuitcity.com) Nothing's worse than paying too much. That's why we do everything in our power to make sure you don't pay a penny more than you should for anything you buy at Circuit City. If you've seen a lower price from a local store stocking the same item, we want to know about it. Bring it to our attention, and we'll gladly refund 110% of the difference between our price and theirs.

Even after your Circuit City purchase, if you see a lower price within 30 days, including our own sale prices, we'll refund 110 % of the difference. We're with you! Although we don't match mail order or Internet retailer prices, one of the benefits of selecting our Express Pickup option is that you'll always get a great deal. On the day you pick up your purchase, we'll compare your online purchase price with the price at the designated Circuit City store and you'll receive the lower price. Any difference will automatically be refunded to your original pay type.
Just take your receipt to a local CC B&M and they should PM for you without a problem.

Yes, and this hurts. I need an extension cable with the U.S. controller 'S', I wonder if the Japanese one + extension cable will be enough. But I have to say, I just got a Wavebird for my 'Cube and it is an awesome feeling playing on a wireless controller. There's something that just feels amazing using the Wavebird. I hope MS comes out with a wireless official controller for X-box.

Wow! That is a nice controller! Although I think we need to find a really hot deal on it to keep it reasonably priced. I'm sure we will though.

Here is what I'm purchasing today from CC. The Xbox bundle $199 and controller S $29 + tax. 20% back with MSN on both xbox and controller. Then using the 50% back rebate on the controller. Total net cost for the Xbox + 2 controllers + 2 games (bundled) = $241 - $63 = $178 (including tax)

Looks pretty awesome...but $70 is sorta steep. Hopefully there will be some deals available when this releases next week.

This controller is already out and shipping, I received one already. Unfortunately I cannot provide any info on how good it is since it's a gift for someone else. It is cheaper however. Pelican Eclipse

IGN Gear has a review of the wireless controller and it appears it is great with the only negative that you cant use the XBL communicator with it.
