Anymore info on the Blockbuster deal? (confirm, deny?) If it is $149 plus free rentals, that'd probably be where I'll buy mine. (I don't care if that is used or new, that's a good price)

Linux for X-Box looks cool, though it currently requires chip or re-written BIOS to run right now.

If you work at a certified MS reseller's location (like CompUSA for me), then you can get some Xbox games and peripherals for free. Go to www.microsoft.com/retail and sign up to take the tests. You can accumulate points and use them to buy games (some crappy, some good) and peripherals (no controllers though )

It's pretty easy. I've already got enought to buy a game, and I didn't even spend an hour on the quizzes. I figure if I make $8 an hour, it's worth it to do the quizzes. I'm looking at RalliSport Challenge right now.

Let me emphasize the eligibility terms stated on the site:

5. Eligibility. The Program is available only to legal residents of the 50 United States (includes the District of Columbia) age 18 and over who are currently employed in a sales function with an Authorized Xbox Retailer in the United States (as listed on Store Name pull-down menu on Registration Page). Does anyone have any suggestions for me about getting games. My BB doesn't have any good games or deals, and my Target sucks about having games. I see all the great game deals on the post, but none of my local stores ever have them. Does anyone know an online retailer with some good deals? Or if anyone in Springfield,MO knows of a good place for games let me know.

Have them scan it. 95% of the time, my local never retags them UNTIL they go red tag.
