I want to buy an xbox specifically to play Robotech, when it comes out. I've heard that they are making it for xbox and porting it to other platforms. If this is true, then MS or not, I will be needing an Xbox.

A warning about Best Buy. They seem to be pretty crappy when it comes to returning defective video games. I bought an XBox game around a month ago. Today, when I took it out of my XBox, I noticed it was cracked pretty bad around the hole in the DVD. I had only handled this game about 5 times total. It may be my XBox that killed the disc but I am betting there was a small crack/defect in the disc straight from the factory.

Anyways, I look in the manual for warranty info and it says to return the game to the retailer within 90 days. So I head down to Best Buy and the CSR says she cannot accept any return without a reciept (who saves a reciept on a video game?). Then she even accuses me of breaking the disc by putting it in the case to much. At this point I get peeved and tell her to get me her manager. The manager (he looked to be about 16 years old) comes over and I give him my story. He finally gives in and lets me exchange the game. While they ultimately let me exchange the game, it is pathetic that I had to go through all that to get them to stand behind a product I paid good money for. I guess I am lucky they didn't try to have me arrested like they did people a month or so ago. I will not buy from Worst Buy again.

A word of warning about the pizza hut $100 GC OFFER.

If you read the fine print, it says that you get 10 $10 GC and that only one is valid each month and ONLY for that month. So unless you eat a crap load of pizza every month, this offer stinks.

A crap load??? Let's see, $10 will get you approximately one pizza. I don't think I know of anyone who DOESN'T order pizza at least once a month!

Just picked up a refurbished Xbox from Gamestop. Paid $170 for it. I'm very impressed with this console. This is the most excited I have been about console gaming since the Super Nintendo. I am a Microsoft whore, but I am looking forward to the Xbox Live. I'm also a multiplayer whore as well.

I'll take a look at that Console, Halo, Rallisport Challenge bundle.

I don't know if somebody mentioned this or not but Best Buy has back-to-school coupons that you can get at the customer service (I use that term loosely) desk. Inside is a $5.00 coupon for video games, video game accesories, or pc games. I scored a Xbox DVD kit for $26.49 after tax and a Radica Reflex arcade stick for $20.67 after tax. The DVD kit is going to be implemented in the next version (beta6) of Media Player! The arcade stick comes in handy for playing all of the old-school games like Galaga, Defender, and Karnov in MAMEX.

This coupon is mentioned in one of the Radica entries in the list, but I had no luck at my Best Buy this past Sunday trying to get this coupon. According to their customer service (I also use that term loosely) agents, the "Back to School" brochures stopped being distributed on 8/17, altho you can redeem these coupons until 9/21.

Since most employees at Best Buy are full of !$@#* tho, someone PLEASE let us know the official score on the "Back to School" brochures/coupons ASAP (if they're still available, I'll be takin my Radica Reflex in for a price adjustment, fer sure!)

BTW: The Radica Reflex is also awesome for ANY fighter, especially DOA3. The switchable handle (with choice of round or longneck knob) is a great feature. Only wish the buttons were higher-quality.
