It's not that far off. The cover story on XBM this month is a preview of PGR2, with a ton of screenshots, and a couple page interview. It should be out in a few months.

Thanks for all the deals. I now have 4 still in shrink wrap games and 2 pretty new games that I need to start playing. The deals at CompUSA are pretty good since a lot of the cheap prices aren't shown on the shelf, but still ring up at the cheap price (except internet only prices).

this is actually a hotter deal than buying it from the store. i just bought a refurb from EB B&M and it came to $162.75 [cuz of tax]. You save almost $13 if you buy it online and are willing to wait a couple of days. As such, I'm gonna go return this to B&M and just buy it online.

I think that you can only pick from the games listed on the page. I added two from the page with one that wasn't on it and when I applied the coupon it said I didn't meet the requirements. I then added a third one from that page and it took off the amount.

I hope not being repetitive, but the listed games were: Dead to Rights, NHL Hitz 2003, Kelly Slater's Pro Surfer, Blade 2, Time Splitters 2, Lord orf the Rings, NBA Inside Drive and Blinx.

This bundle is extremely hot (and giftable). This would make a terrific present; enjoyable right out of the box with two games and an 8 GB hard drive for a memory card (and maybe a DVD remote as well?).

I don't see why you couldn't also pickup a DVD kit & qualify for the $30 MIR. As long as you purchase both between August 15, 2002 and November 2, 2002 & follow the other rules for rebate.

I would imagine the MS rebate would come pretty quickly. Anyone have direct experience with this particular rebate? How long does it take to show up?

EDIT: What would make this really sweet is if we could figure out a way to qualify for both the MS $30 MIR and also the EBGames.com $20 MI Coupon Code here. You have to buy (1) An Xbox, (2) DVD Playback kit, (3) Any Xbox game, and (4) Any of the following games: Halo, Blinx, NFL Fever 2003 or Quantum Red Shift. The problem I see is that both EB and MS are asking for original UPC's and such... Any ideas?

I have to agree with RayCathode in that the Buy 2 Get 1 Free deal at Amazon is limited to the 8 games listed here. I could not get the coupon to work with two of the listed games and any third game. It works if all three come from that page.

btw... for those who don't follow.. Version 2 (or 1.1 as they are calling it) Xbox's were officially cracked over the weekend. A new bios is all that's needed so all the flashable mod chips should work once the new bios's are released. Long live Xbox Linux!

I also noticed that Gamespot has a little article about the "Sega Bundle." In the text, they seem to mention that the DVD Player Kit rebate may not be compatible with the new xbox bundle. Not sure...

Just got back from TARGET. I took back my xbox that I bought 3 weeks ago and got the new LIMITED edition SEGA XBOX bundle. They had it laying out on ythe floor. From what I understood they had it laying out since a couple of days ago. So dont be limited to Electronic Boutique thinking they're the only one who has it. I was gonna get mine from EB tomm but I walked into target and saw the only sega bundle they had locked in the glass case. I drove my ass home repackaged my unit and went back to Target.

You're right that every retailer should have these available by tomorrow (official release day).

The only reason EB has gotten the nod on the list is the additional rebate available with the purchase of a system and 2 games.

Target being so big probably didnt know theyre werent to suppose to officially sell it till tomm, but Target had it I think since friday. Dont matter I got the only one they had left. I knew the ebgames from my house would be slammed tomm. And I work 8-5 so the only break i have to run and get it would of been my lunch break at 11am or so, I didnt want to chance me not getting one.
