December x, 2007 for me.
I just started playing TF2 again many months (years) of hiatus. And of course all these new changes that they have been pushing are new to me. Is there a wiki (don't say Wikipedia because I read it and it's not helpful) or webpage that explains how to play the game? I don't mean run around and click. I mean different strategies and game types. Also, I am seeing stuff I've never seen before like when someone kills me, it says "John is carrying a super gatling gun." WTF? How did John get this weapon? Also, I randomly got some sort of "badge" or something. I went to equip it on my head or body (or some spot like that). I have no idea what it does. What sucks is when I switch to a different character (say from Engineer to Soldier), I have to equip him with the same badge, again. So confused.
If the heavy is remotely competent, you lose. Always have, always will.
The problem is fundamentally that they decided they pyro should be an "Ambush at close range" class, without considering that the heavy is god at close range and the spy wins at ambush.
