This is now 3 more BILLION dollars that we just printed out of nowhere. well not nowhere, stolen from taxpayers very soon. But we don't even count anymore, whats a few billion here or there.

Why not just give the automakers 30 billion each and give the cars to us for free? Then tax us at 75%? Hell tax us at 100% and give us food, shelter and clothing allotments.

Heh, put some environmental benefit in your proposal and the current admin might just do what u said.

They don't even print it anymore, just a simple transaction on a computer.

I guess monetizing the debt really is green!!!

Sales of GM's Silverado truck, under the government's counting method, were divided among five different versions. So were the Ford F-150s. If the different versions of these trucks were considered the same vehicle, as auto sales are normally reported, sales of these trucks would look much heftier.

Go Ford Go. Thier four best autos(Escape, Focus, F150, and Fusion) are all in the top 10. That list makes it look good for US Automakers. 4/10 Ford. 8/10 American.

Though the while 4/10 being are light trucks/suvs & full sized trucks certainly goes against the claims many of the posters that support CARS.

Fords has made HUGE inroads in quality and make of their new lineup. It doesn't hurt almost all their new models take top honors for best in class MPG ratings. The bailout of Chrysler and GMC is the best thing to happen to Ford, its driven them more business.

not really. for years if you wanted a good truck you purchased a Ford. there is reason the F150 is one of the best selling vehicles of all time.

Not to mention the trade in "clunkers" guidlines pretty much only leave trucks or such as a option. considering the number of trucks that were sold over hte years its no suprise to find they are the top traded in one.

Also the Focus is a great cheap car. so no the results do not suprise me at all.
