That is really important actually. Aren't these attacks almost exclusively 1st or 2nd generation Islamic immigrants? I have never heard of one of these attacks being done by a fully westernized muslim. My daughters best friend is a fully westernized secular muslim. I think she is representative of the vast majority of Muslims that live in America. I believe the problems are coming from people who recently immigrated from Islamic shitholes (or their children). From what I understand, every single muslim terror attack in America came from that source.

Not true as evidenced by daughter's best friend. The vast majority of muslims in America have friends of all kinds of faiths. There was a study done on it actually. Problems arise when all of your friends are of the same faith, which is common with the new Islamic immigrants from shithole countries. It is the exposure and acceptance/tolerance of other people with different worldviews that is critical.

For the record, I tolerate people of faith but I know that they are delusional. Generally I have the good taste not to state as much to them and they can still be my friend. I am not a good liberal. Horrible incident. My heart goes out to the victims as it always does in these incidents. While I wish there was someway to stop evil in the world completely, I know that there really isn't a way and vigilance is the only way to keep evil deeds from spreading.

Now I'll speak to the other issue being discussed in this thread. Many feel those talking about gun rights are being insensitive to the subject of the incident of this terrorist/mass murder attack. Unfortunately, the culture on these boards is why these comments come up. Every time a mass murder happens with a gun, those looking to instill harsher levels of gun control, or outright bans of guns, come out of the woodwork with posts about their values on gun control. When invariably someone protecting the rights of gun owners points out that banning guns doesn't make the evil go away and that those seeking to do harm will use another method even if somehow magically guns disappeared, such ideas are scoffed at by those seeking gun control. Yet here we have a prime example of a mass murderer/terrorist using another method to carry out evil. The point being the root of the problem isn't the tool used to commit the evil deed, but the person behind it. Invariably it is the motivation of the person committing the deed that is the true source of evil. Removing all potential motivations for evil is never going to be feasible, but looking to remove some of them is a far better effort than trying to remove potential tools that evil doers will seek out to inflict their deeds.

While incidents like this is truly atrocious, and I hope it will never happen again, I unfortunately know it will. Evil isn't going away. I just hope this incident serves as a wake up call to people that there is evil out there in the world and there are better ways of controlling it than what some have been proposing in the past.
