Second, yes there is a great way to solve this that will screw the corporate neocons trying to get over on people to keep a sub-class of workers. Think about it, it is the only rational and humane thing to do, get them fully legit, and work some cesar chavez flavor into getting them organized and not prey to low wage conservative interests.

It is not hard at all, we have been through this with mexicans before, and we only get stronger each time as a country, anything less is downright unamerican neocon spin to a highly volitle issue.

That is not true in the slightest, and they are very very poor over there.

Take a look on indymedia of the real protests, not the ones on tv, they are here for the same reasons our own ancestors are here and they are already on their way to being americans, a lot already have children that are americans, so they could not be deported anyhow, they are here for a new life and to join their familys already established in america.

I think you have been fed a huge line and any mexican or someone who has vistited mexico would slap this down in a heartbeat.

This is why everyone says people who do not live around mexicans have no clue what this is all about and what they go through to be the newest americans.

A lot of them die to make it across that border, it is insanely bad territory to have to cross, and they do it with familys in tow, very danerous and there are gangs that will rape and kill those who are caught, all to come here to have a new life.

I just stood with 6000 of them the other day and listened to speeches for a few hours on their view, along with living around them for over a decade in the mission, I would have to disagree with you here on your view of what is going on in their plight.

I am going to bring up a point that I know will infuriate some. I believe a lot of the illegal immigration is caused by the lack of birth control and family planning in Mexico.
We know Mexico is a largely Catholic country, and the population is growing very fast.
The United States is the safety valve for Mexico, they can't provide for all of their people so they encourage them to come here, legal or illegal.
Of course, the right-wing US govt in its brilliance has banned the spending of UN funds for any family planning that involves abortion or birth control, thus making the prpblem worse.

The presence of so many illegals is depressing wages for many citizens, and I don't like it.
