You know if you live in fear about every issue you will never get anything done, you can't throw the baby out with the bathwater. Just becasue one issue provides a challenge to law enforcement.

It is a good point though, but mostly directed to fear someone off the issue, the vast majority of them are coming up here from farms not escapeing the law, anyone can cross the border or swim up on the beach and get in if they are determined to run from somewhere, its rather a paranoid view.

And a money tree could sprout at my feet, it still does not further the debate and this has been covered in the thread already many times at why it is impossible and would do far more damage then the only real result which would be some kind of misguided revenge.

And yes, some people forsaw planes crashing into buildings, and warned us about it too, Someone wrote a book about it a few years before.

I propose that all illegal immigrants lose ANY benefits from government help. I propose that any illegal immigrant that is convicted of felony is punished by death hastily. I propose that all direct children of illegal immigrants shall receive no free education or any other entitlement.

This would be a much cheaper method of keeping them out of our country and wouldn't require border control or building a big expensive wall that would probably get torn down anyway.

You call it paranoia, I call it protecting my family. Yes, I know the majority aren't criminals/felons, that's why I showed you that 1% of 10,000,000 is 100,000. That's still a helluva lot of criminals/felons that came in through the cracks. Now you are starting to realize that the only reliable way to screen someone is to go through the normal legal immigration process. Once they have snuck in, it's already too late, we have no way of knowing their past.

You rationalize that if a criminal wanted to get into this country, he will find a way. I disagree and say that a wall will deter many illegals as well as criminals/felons. We may not stop them all, but cutting the current rate in half would be a great start.

Being for or against illegal immigration (how funny is that statement) is now a political game. If you are of one political party it is your duty as a staunch supporter to be for or against illegal immigration.

The answer to ALL of this is that Steeplerot is simply a extreme left wing supporter. He/She will not listen to any reason, and to them, we might as well open the borders to all immigrants, and immdiatly put them on welfare. Sorry, but this is not racism. If someone from Germany was to cross the border illegally, I'd have the SAME attitude. No illegals should be given any benefits, they should be deported IMMEDIATLY when they are found. Don't even put them in prison, because that in itself is costly (since people in prison have cable TV and such...) If they have a child in the US, either put it up for adoption, or deport it too. But don't make it a US citizen.

I'm not against people immigrating....I don't care, so long as they follow the laws in place. It has nothing to do with race. Everyone who DOES bring race into it, is being a bigot themselves (HMMMMM, STEEPLEROT IS BEING A BIGOT!!! What do you think about that?)
