I used to like watching the show back when it was on Comedy Central. Then he started taking himself seriously and it sucked after that. So, yawn........

But that was Bill Maher's biggest problem. He made stupid comments, AND he wasn't funny. To make things worse, most of his guests spouted even worse political commentry and terrible jokes than he did! I'm amazed that his show lasted as long as it did.

his show was much better when it was on comedy central, before he became subject to the execs at ABC/Disney. i never watched it much after it left comedy central.

Is he being cancelled because of the ratings or because of his statement(s)? If the latter, then it is outright censorship from Disney. This along with Disney's push to make new computers media restrictive makes me change my vote for McDonald's to Disney as the evil empire.

You beat me to it Balt. Every time I turned on his show it was filled with celebrities that acted like they were God's gift to politics. It's true that some celebrities actually know what they're talking about but 9 out of 10 times the ones on the show were complete morons. Chimps had more intellectual power than some of the poeple that would debate our nation's issues on his show.

Also, while I'm not 100% conservative I tend to lean on the conservative side and I just got sick of seeing 3 liberals gang up on the lone conservatist. I don't mind free speech but geez, it became such a common setup that I stopped watching the show entirely (well, that and the dumb celebrities).
