Yeah, sure. But most, if not all, are the incomprehensibly awful, pigheaded asshole that Bill O' Reilly is.

Fox News' bombastic vox populi makes much more than the average-Joe viewers of "The O'Reilly Factor," last year's top-rated cable news program. In addition to his Fox salary, O'Reilly hosts a syndicated radio program and regularly hits the lecture circuit, charging a reported $50,000 per speaking engagement. Author of four best sellers, he also penned "The O'Reilly Factor for Kids," last year's best-selling nonfiction children's book.

This is very true. Although I suppose one could say the same of Adolph Hitler. Of course, there is really no comparison between the two. O'Reilly has murdered far fewer innocent Jews.

That we know of, anyhow.

And second, he did pay a very large settlement to keep it out of court IIRC.

Semantics Vic. You know the point he was making.

You realize you're talking about someone who has made a successful career of acting superior and tearing apart people when they're down, right?

Irrelivent. We aren't talking about the man's career, we are talking about him being stressed over coworkers incompetance. His point was that everyone has reacted the same way at some point over their coworkers incompetance.

No matter how much everyone might have reacted the same at some point in their lives, you should be able to recognize that O'Reilly has made a career of attacking others for even less, so it's all well and good for him to be attacked in this fashion. Don't you believe in accountability?

None of which is relevant to the point being made that everyone has reacted in a similar fashion to coworker incompetence. If you want to start a Bill bashing thread go ahead and do that.

As attacking people at these kind of inopportune moments is how O'Reilly has made his career, I said it's fully relevant, and you're supporting hypocrisy.

And this is a Bill bashing thread, idiot.

I don't presume to judge people where I do not have accurate information. What we know is that someone accused Bill of sexual harassment and sued him in civil court. This person didn't call the police, they didn't try to have him held criminally accountable - they sued him for monetary gain. That is the information we have. I can't judge a person with that information.

A personal attack? Come on now, isn't that what you are acusing Bill of?

Again - the original comment was that anyone here has reacted the same way to coworker incompetence at some point. All you have done is attack the man. I never said he is or is not guilty of what you accuse him of. I simply am agreeing with Amused that anyone here has reacted the same way at some point because of coworker incompetence. You seem to just want to bash the guy.

i'll try to be civil, but will say this isn't P&N, and you've made anyone reading this thread question that.

forgive me for not going hogsh!t wild over Bill O'Reilly.

Still I do think he is a douche...without going hogsh!t wild that is...

he is a propoganda machine that no one should take seriously.

The video certainly shows a stressed out person. Since I don't know what its like working in front of a camera like that I can't imagine the level of stress involved.

he isnt someone I'd want to work with.

i don't watch it either. i know who he is. i know he's succesful. i know people have strong opinions about his opinions.

also, i agree with you that this thread didn't start out as a bash-everything-about-Bill-O'Reilly thread. it was, for a short time, about losing your temper when people and equipment screw up.

I'm not accusing O'Reilly of being anything but a media talking head who spews opinionated nonsense for entertainment purposes.

What you are doing is defending someone in a situation for which that same someone is famous for attacking people in. In other words, you're supporting hypocrisy. That it's alright for O'Reilly to kick people when they're down but it's not alright to kick O'Reilly when he is down.
This is so painfully obvious that, like your comments that I should start my own "Bill bashing" thread when we are already in a Bill bashing thread, that the only conclusion that any reasonable person could possibly come to is that you're an idiot and you're trying to beat me over the head with your idiocy.

You do know he came out saying it was ALL untrue and false and the courts would show that. In fact HE filed the lawsuit first not her.
Then it came out she recorded what he did/said and all of a sudden he paid several million dollars to keep the tapes closed. If I remember correct 1 part of the settlemnst was that the tapes never see the day of light and if they do she has to pay back all the money.

Thats not hearsay, thats fact.

Why are you assuming that it was "co-worker's incompetence"?

It sounded to me like it was his own issue. One that was set off by not knowing what a simple phrase meant and his inability to be able to read the line as written.
