Since I do my grocery shopping at Walmart, I had the seemingly brilliant idea of buying a months worth of gift cards and getting a hefty cash back amount. Apparently bing though ahead, as their terms say no cashback on gift cards and gift certificates.

I ordered a Canon 50mm 1.4 lens (~$400) which is packaged in maybe a 4"x4" box. Well they shipped it in a 2'x2' box with one piece of crumpled newpaper with it. When I opened the box the lens was rolling around the shipping box along with the styrofoam from the packaging.

No idea how long it had been rolling around in there. I immediately took the box down to the local Walmart and they refunded my money.

Damn, that was a good deal on the lens.

How will Bing tell the difference?
Will they give you a partial cashback amount or do they automatically invalidate your entire order making it ineligible for cashback?

Ordered a psp for the wifey and had it shipped to their store for pick up. Hope, I'll have a better experience than what you had.

I've never had a problem with site to store pickups, as I believe they come in on the regular resupply truck, not via any shipping company.

Thanks for the heads-up on this. Ordered a WD 500gb external drive, $109.99 + tax (~$119.98). Had a $20 GC (knocked it down to ~$99.98), and Bing is going to give me ~$22 and change back; final price ~$77 and change. Fantastic!!

I'm thinking about checking out their netbook prices today, as I think I'm gifting myself one of those for Christmas this year. :sneaky:

I made a purchase at Walmart.com yesterday after having clicked on the Bing 20% at Walmart link. I still haven't received an email from Bing about the purchase. Made a purchase on eBay this morning and got the email confirming the purchase within 20 minutes or so. Does anyone think the Walmart purchase did not register somehow? I got a confirmation # and paid for it......
