Hey guys, check this out:
This is my PC --> Core i7 920 | Gigabyte X58-UD5 | OCZ Platinum 3x2GB DDR3 1600Mhz | GeForce BFG GTX280 | Patriot Warp V2 SSD 32GB for OS | WD VelociRaptor 300GB GLFS | Sound Blaster X-Fi Titanium Fatal1ty Pro | Corsair HX1000 | CM-690 W/ Side window + 7 Fans CM 90CFM
I´ve upgraded the Bios to the F6 version. Everything was perfect, except my Vista, I was having serious problem with it. It was too big for my SSD, but then i figured out that i could move the users folder to another hard drive, freeing up the space in the SSD. So I formated the PC, but when Windows CD was loading it´s files to install, the computer got frozen, even the "caps lock" button in the keyboard was not working (when i pressed it, the green light didn´t show up). So i restarted the PC (resset button in the case). Now my windows is correctly installed and everything is fine, but when I turn on my computer I get: "Main Bios CHECKSUM Error!", then after a little period things are loaded and the computer normally turns on. This is a very strange error, I read in the web that it´s battery problem, but my MoBo is 2 weeks old! The bios update could be the reason for the problem, but this happened long after the update! I didn´t notice, but I think this started just after the freezing screen problem. Tried to clear the CMOS during the boot, a menu appeared and I ordered to "Load Default" (the button is just over the USB ports), but the error screen persists. The strange is that Windows loads correctly and everything works fine! But my memory is workng at 1066MHz and i prettend to configure it to it´s factory spec and to OC my i7, and maybe the bios is getting resset everytime I turn it on, so i´m asking you guys, is this serious or not, cus it´s in the warranty time, and I can replace it, but i´ll be like a month without PC (Brazil SUCKS!). Sorry for the long text, but i´ve been saving money for this PC for over 3 years now, and when it´s ready I keep getting errors like this! I got very mad with it!
thanks you !
