Bios monitor select

Hello I have just built myself a system with a msi intel x79 mobo using click bios; I want to know if there is a way to change the display monitor so I don't have to unplug one of them to force use of one so that I can actually see wih proper resolution; all drivers and firmware are upto date thank you for your time.

? wouldn't that be something you'd do in windows? or your display driver?

right click on desktop
screen resolution
select your primary display?

Yes however that is only for the OS everytime I reboot the bios uses the other monitor and the display resolution puts the image mostly off screen therefore I have to unplug it everytime I need to adjust biosphere or RAID settings

Yes one is 27 LCD IPS panel and the other 20" CRT

so they use different inputs correct?
the bios is using the 20" CRT instead of the IPS?

it seems many mobos default to a specific input i.e. VGA
maybe you can connect the CRT to your video card using another input or swap ports? i.e.vga -> dvi

the x79 doesn't use integrated graphics right?
what GPU are the monitors plugged into

The LCD is on a Display Port the CRT is using DVI-D to VGA and the card supports one additional DP however I'm not sure there is a DP to VGA adapter, yes I agree with you
