Hello,
I helped my friend to build a computer using some older parts. I managed to install Windows 10 and Linux Mint 18 KDE and both work fine. There is, however, one small issue: Every time the computer is turned off, the BIOS does not retain the information. BIOS reports CMOS error when computer is turned on and I have to press F1 and enter the BIOS to adjust the settings. After the BIOS has been adjusted, the computer works fine until shut down. When I turn the computer on again, I get again BIOS CMOS error. I already replaced the battery, but the issue still persists.
Info about computer:
Q9650 processor
Asus Maximus Extreme
8 GB RAM
7850 Radeon
Samsung 850 SSD
Any suggestions?
