BIOS QUESTION?

I have a dell dimension 4700 and did some upgradeing(including a case)......

anyway I took out the fan that was connected to the MOBO because I didn't need it anymore because the case included ALOT of them.....

and now every time i turn on the computer it have an error message "CPU not connected press F1 to continue or press F2 to enter setup"....i really dont want to hit F1 every time.....so is there any way I can disable that onboard fan? or must I put the fan back in? Thanks alot!

Dell computers require that a fan (that reports fan speed) be attached to that connector. They do this to ensure that the cooling fan(s) that the system needs in order to function properly are in place and are spinning normally. You don't necessarily have to use the fan that came with the system, but you do need to have a fan plugged in to that connector.
