BIOS RAM settings for PC133 RAM

I have a SOYO SY-6VCA motherboard (via133a chipset). In the BIOS there are settings for the three RAM banks
(RAM bank 1/2)|
(RAM bank 3/4)| -dunno why two numbers...
(RAM bank 5/6)|

for each bank there are 6 settings...
10NS RAM / 8NS RAM / normal / medium / fast / turbo

my RAM is currently running CAS2, 4-way interleaving, normal (see above RAM bank settings) under Win2k at a 143MHz FSB and is perfectly stable.
Would a setting of fast or turbo be better?
And what are all those settings for, anyway?

While I am not framilier with the bios settings exactly,
it looks like it goes from slowest, to fastest

10NS Ram is rated to run at 100mhz
8NS Ram is rated to run at 125mhz

I would try fast, and if thats stable go up to turbo
if fast is unstable, move down to medium?

Thats what I would do.

That's right. But run some benchmarks with something like SiSoft Sandra or whatever it's called now so you know which setting is best. Stability is one thing and performance is another, especially at the margin.

I think if you check http://www.hardocp.com/ you'll find that in their review of SY-7VCA, the socket version of the 6VCA it is claimed that turbo gives better performance.
