BIOS settings vs. WCPUID

i have an asus a7n8x deluxe(rev. 1001.g) w/ xp2400+ and when i boot up the BIOS settings are fsb = 133 and mulitplier = 7x
but when i check WCPUID they show as fsb = 133 and multiplier = 15x (what they should b)

if i try to change the multiplier from 7x to 7.5x in BIOS i get the "warning!!! cpu have overspeed"

is this because i have a locked cpu??? i had always thought the 2400+'s were t-bred Bs?? and reports say that these processors can be unlocked w/o physical modification(correct me if i am wrong please)

anyone have any ideas as to why the differences between the BIOS settings and WCPUID????

It's possible that WCPUID hasn't been updated to support the nForce2 chipset. It sees a FSB of 133MHz, but doesn't realize that it's DDR. It also sees a proc that's running at 2GHz. How to get this? Must be a 15x multiplier, says WCPUID.
One unusual thing I notice though - 7.5 should be the right multiplier - 7.5 x 266.6666FSB is 2GHz.

Oops! You've confused FSB with Memory timings... The processor should be 15X133 at stock settings, it does not work in DDR like the memory!

I hope that was an honest mistake!

As for his observations in the BIOS, that's just plain weird. Perhaps a BIOS update is in order?

it seems 1001.g is beta and isn't working right..... going to resort to 1001.c
