bios wont display in dvi

i cant seem to get my comptuer to display dvi when it first boots, and going into the bios. it only displays it in vga.

then when it loads windows xp, my dvi works.

motherboard is epox 8kdaj.

is there a way to change this?

not sure but i don't think dvi can support 16 colors...

i got a dell 2100fp via dvi connection and i can go into my bios and see everything on startup just fine. and im running an old funky geforce4 4200. maybe your video card needs a bios update?
