Looks pretty good - hope it'll be longer than episode one (that thing only took me 4 hours lol).

I really enjoyed the first one. I will buy this as well....even though I think they're a bit pricey. The artistic direction is just fantastic in these episodes.

Ah well....I went to the movie theater the other night and spent $20 for 2 hours of entertainment, so this is justifiable.

Plan on getting this also. Side note - you spent $20 on a movie? Damn, were you by yourself? Wife and I took our oldest to see the lego movie a couple weeks ago and dropped $50. $25 for the tickets and another $25 on 2 drinks 1 popcorn and 1 candy.

Yeah -- went with a friend. $12 for a ticket and $7 for a soda. At least nobody was there and theater had recently upgraded to big, cushy, reclining seats.

You guys haven't figured out the puffy winter jacket with interior pockets yet?

I'm cheap so I'll just get it when it inevitably goes on sale. Steam had the combo version on sale the other day for something like $22 (game + all DLC) but the Season Pass was still the regular price.

Not to derail my own thread, but paying that isn't unheard of nowadays.

Evening IMAX/3D in NYC costs upwards of $26 per ticket!

I keep getting tempted to play the two DLCs because I enjoyed Infinite, but -- and this will sound heretical -- since I never finished Bioshock, I don't know if it will ruin anything. Although, I think I've pretty much had the game spoiled for me over the years anyway. However, I did hear that Part II is a lot better than Part I, but it's also a very different feel with Elizabeth as the playable character.

In regard to movie tickets, ever since I went home for Christmas 2012 and saw what the local theater did during their renovation (after a huge flood), I feel ripped off whenever I buy tickets here. They have these nice, leather, electric-reclining seats, and what really sealed the deal is that I paid $6 (+ an online Fandango fee) for a 4PM showtime! My local theater stops matinee pricing at around 1 PM, and their leather seats feel and look more like normal theater seating that has just been reupholstered with cheap leather. What makes it cringe-worthy is that it costs $12 for matinee. The reason why I like it is because all seating is on a balcony, which means the worst you can get stuck with is being on the far left or far right, but it has assigned seating. So, if you buy your ticket early enough, you can get a good seat.

...and that reminds me that I need to buy my Captain America ticket at a rate of $14 for an 8PM 2D showtime. Eh, most of the front row seats are gone... would rather pay $2 more for 3D and get a front row seat.

You mean Bioshock 1? Well, the new DLC spoils the entire game. I'm not kidding. Every major scene gets recapped, so I'd finish playing that game before playing the DLC.

I think I've already had most of it spoiled since the game is sort of old. I know things like
Andrew Ryan is still alive and you're his son, but there's still stuff past his fight, which I recall people not liking much.

Honestly, I did start playing the game ages ago, but I don't know why I stopped. I actually own a physical copy of the game... complete with the wonderful Games for Windows logos adorning it!

This is the exact same position I found myself in when starting Burial at Sea. I stopped about 10 minutes in and went back to finish Bioshock 1. I'm now about 80% done with Bioshock 2 (which I picked up cheap during a steam sale). Once I finish it, I'll go back and play the Burial at Sea DLCs. I don't regret it. (although BS 2 is definitely the weak link in the series)

This is definitely the way to go - I may do the same.

I actually really liked BS2 - And there were some great moments. The feeling of nerves when one of the Lil sisters was approaching scared the piss outta me - plus she did take a whallopin'

Getting price raped at the theaters is part of the experience.

Really? I can't STAND BioShock 2 The #1 reason I have yet to buy BioShock Infinite is because I haven't finished 2. It is such a terribly-slow trudge through stuff. You're supposed to be a Big Daddy, but you feel like a glass cannon. Heck, not even a glass cannon, just glass--there's no "cannon" to it. You're easily killed and you don't have the offensive strength to help counter it.

I've tried on 3 or 4 separate occasions to finish the game, but I seriously get frustrated and bored after about 10 minutes. I'm maybe halfway in, and I can't get myself to go any further.

I just finished this. I enjoyed it quite a bit. The focus on stealth was a nice change of pace and was fitting for Elizabeth.

I'm a bit ambivalent on the liberties they took with Bioshock 1's story, and some retconning that went in about midway through made me cringe inwardly. Overall it was quite good though. I have one question:

Does anyone know what that was supposed to be sinking down toward rapture in the scene after the credits?

I'm considering buying both episodes when there's a sale. But I've read in the descriptions that there's now an emphasis on stealth which I've grown to hate as a playing style/gameplay mechanic. (I took the violent approach in Dishonored.) Can I play through the episodes killing most of the enemies in most of the areas, or is a lot of stealth-based play required?
