Even a month ago I would have said you are crazy. However I have recently changed over to using a X360 controller due to some tendonitis issues and I am actually starting to enjoy using a gamepad these days. It takes a good couple of weeks to really learn to use it but being able to kick my feet up and relax is a pretty nice. Bioshock Infinite is my first attempy at playing a FPS with a gamepad so we will see how it goes. It is nice that the game gives proper gamepad prompts when using it.

Yep. The biggest reason why people stick with mouse keyboard is because they've just used it for years and can't fathom using something else. I was the same way for a long time, but i'm glad to have switched for single player games....it's just a better experience that way. The x360 pad is really great to use, I love it.

Like I said though, certain games lend themselves to mouse/kb. That I will not deny, I still use it for SOME multiplayer games. But single player? I just enjoy them more with the x360 pad.

Oh, the gamepads still have the same limitations they always did. They've just made the games easier to compensate - and that's really what console auto-aim is, a cheat, always-on big head mode.

Beyond that....sound like you have a problem with your chair, not your keyboard.

Oh, okay. If you say so. It isn't 1999 anymore but if you want to keep that mindset, it's cool. Gamepads don't have the limitations they used to. It's just easier to use and just as responsive as MKB. I also can't play a game in my recliner with mouse keyboard. Sorry, i'd rather not sit upright at all times while playing a game. I like being comfortable instead of being in a work-like position in a chair. Playing with the 360 pad is more comfortable (RECLINER) and ultimately more enjoyable.

If you want to use a controller you might as well play on a console. The graphics advantage is pretty much lost when you are looking at a tv 8-10 feet away. I find it much easier to deal with higher sensitivity than the dead zones on controller. I would always end up not aiming and just moving side to side to line up my shots. If the only option was a controller, I'd probably find a new hobby.

With the exception of competitive MP shooters I see no reason to ever use mouse + KB.

Which is completely fine. I find myself being half and half these days; KB+M for shooters, strategy games, puzzle games, and MMO's; Xbox 360 controller for racing games, sports games, 3rd person action/adventure games, and fighting games.

When you play a wide variety of stuff, it's good to have both options IMO. BioShock is a shooter, thus, I'm going to feel more comfortable with a mouse and keyboard.

...The guy above me who says the PS pad is better than the 360 pad is silly though. No one actually thinks that, right? The 360 controller fits to the curves of your hands and is objectively superior in just about every single way. Contrastly, Sony's controller design appears to be stuck in the 90's.

"Just about every single way" isn't every single way. The PS3 wireless controller is considerably lighter then the 360 controller, and it's enough that I notice the difference quite a bit after a long gaming session.

And that's why I like it. Why change what works? All the Sony pad was was an extension of the SNES controller. I've never cared for the MS approach of big bulky gamepads, more importantly their D-pads, or the shape of the controller overall. The PS controllers conform better for me. I've used them both extensively, and I just prefer the PS ones. If not for patents, MS would have probably used the same design.

I too use controllers for some games, I'm not anti-controller, but the reason people think controllers are fine for FPS games is because of autoaim/assist. W/O it, you would notice a considerable difference. Of COURSE you can get used to it if you REALLY want to play it that way.

On topic. I finally hit what I'd consider a difficult section for me. I've retried it about 10 times now In Finktown.

damn this game is racist, lol. I've seen just about every stereotypical racist image/saying already and the games just beginning.

Saying it contains racism isn't the same as saying it's racist. I am only a few hours in but certainly appears the racists are the bad guys.

I can certainly see why you prefer mouse KB. The PS3 controller, IMHO, is very uncomfortable for extended gaming sessions especially when compared to the 360 pad. The contour of the x360 pad is really comfortable, to each their own though I guess.

Blaaaaaaaaaaa bla bla blah. In bf3? Sure i'll use mouse kb. I used mouse kb for years. As I said earlier, it isn't 1998 anymore, though, X360 pad works great especially for SP games. Nobody cares that you can do 17 360 turns in .5 seconds with mouse kb in a single player game. Whooptee do.

I knew PC / mouse keyboard elitist type of posts would pop up. Whatever, to each their own. It's just preference

BTW, did anyone notice right after Elizabeth was dancing on the beach, they were playing a strange version of Girls Just Want to Have Fun:

http://youtu.be/gq7-6KE7glI?t=29m6s

Yea, I mentioned it about 3 pages back.

I also hit a spot with the actual Credence Clearwater Revival Smoke on the Water song which was funny.

But yea, there are songs from different times peppered throughout.

I just hit a spot in the game that makes this game pretty much like Singularity, which is probably why I like it. And yes, this game has tons of racism mixed with religious propaganda. It's quite a tale it's spinning.

I wanna play it, but I have like 4 games to get into first. Once I clear out a couple (Final perfect play through on Persona 4 Golden Tomb Raider, God Of War) I'll jump into Bioshock.

I'm not really into FPS games but since this game was part of the AMD Gaming Evolved package when I bought my graphics card, I decided to check it out. The graphics look very nice, though a bit too bright at times and sometimes too dark. The scripted stuff is OK too. I think some of the guys shooting those stationary machine gun things are way too accurate.

I've played through about an hour or so. Like I said, I don't really play too many FPS games so maybe its not for me.

Just finished it. Wow, mind blown. I really, really hope the sequel is three years away.
