Just finished the game on normal difficulty. Only rented it so I didn't have time for more then one play through so maybe this is in the harder difficulties. But the part from the trailer where elizabeth has the noose around her neck while she is on the horse. Is that part actually in the game? I don't remember it. Or did they just make that for the trailer?
It's quite clear why the game was delayed. Most of what was in the early trailers and gameplay videos was cut. If you watch the E3 2011 gameplay trailer, only a couple lines of dialogue and the last two minutes were in the actual game. I think this ended up opening the door for more than a few plot holes open. Though I don't think the story is supposed to make sense, not until the ending. There's a very

Also worth noting that a mob of Founders trying to hang Elizabeth makes no sense. It's set early on that she's worshipped as daughter of the prophet.
I actually enjoyed it more than Bioshock. It's a little more forgiving (I'm not very good at FPS games) and I like the art layout a lot more. I'm a big fan of art deco but Rapture always retained that dull tone too common to shooters. Columbia is a city that feels lived in, which Rapture never did. The story is definitely thought provoking. Has made me read up on the Many Worlds Interpretation put forth by Hugh Everett and Bryce DeWitt, the latter of whom Booker takes his last name from. Much more fun than a bloody critique of Ayn Rand, who I doubt many gamers are even aware of.
