I have a 360 hooked up to an hd projector and a PC hooked up to a widescreen Sony FW900 display.
Specs:
Core 2 Duo E6750
2g DDR 800 Ram
X1950Xt 256mb
P35 Gigabyte MOBO
I'm just curious if my system is fast enough to run it as well as the 360 version with the same framerate. Spec wise, my system is faster then a 360. But the minimum requirements for the PC call for over twice as much ram as a 360 alone, leaving me to believe it isn't as optimized as well as it could have. I understand a mouse is better then a controller, I mostly ask from a performance perspective. Any benchmarks?

I believe the PC version doesn't support widescreen monitors, FWIW.

Both versions "support" widescreen monitors, just the FOV is incorrect on both when in widescreen.

Yeah, really. I dont blame the companies for putting in copy-protection, unless it screws up my system if I dont have any overide type of SW on it. I am GLAD they are putting good copy-protection on PC games. This way we may still be getting games for the PC and not consoles only. I cannot play any FPS on any console. I need my KB and trackball.

It's got SecureROM on it... POS went through the entire install, then says it need to download and install a "patch" which is the copy protection... Then gave me an error saying that I need to put the original disk in the drive, not a backup. Of course, the original WAS in drive, but I had a virtual drive, unused, created with Alcohol 120%. I tasked out, removed the virtual drive, and hit "retry" on the disk error. It then said it couldn't download the "patch" and aborted the entire install.
GRRRRRRRRR.
I reinstalled again with no problems, now that the virtual drive was nowhere to be found. That REALLY pisses me off. And they're gonna hear about it. I feel sorry for the devs. They don't deserve the wrath, but I hope the publisher goes GD bankrupt. Why use any lame copy prot that's gonna be cracked the day it's released.
I BOUGHT this GD game, and *I'M* the one that's punished... But, I'm preaching to choir, here. Thanks for letting me rant!

Bioshock was downloadable as Warez 2 days before it hit the stores...the copy protection did zip for this.

360 version maybe, the PC version still isn't available through the warez channels, which means a few people probably laid down $40-$50 because they didn't want to wait for it to be cracked.

Please think before you write. DefDC is right -- he purchased the game and is treated as a thief.
