Biostar M7VIG PRO or shuttle ak32a?

which one is better for a budget system? i think the biostar uses the km266 and shutte 266a

If its a budget system, go with the biostar pro. It has USB 2.0 and onboard video.

Are the number of PCI slots important?

I dont believe so all he needs is sound, video, Lan (if not integrated) and nothing else really

shuttle seems to have problem after couple months of usage..

one biostar i had, wasn't easy to get it going (RAID problem).. but it was good after that

NEITHER...if I had to fo SDRAM i'd gert a K7s5a pro. If I was using DDR I'd get something else.

The shuttle ak32l which i have dont work w/ any line of radeon series ccards.. it locks up while doing anythin.. so im guessing this a32a is just a new revsion to a32l and it will lock up w/ 8500 card also. BTW i had the radeon 7200... i just ordered the gf4 mx440 se on friday. bye
