Birth control, Anyone had any issues?

I know a few people that have gotten pregnant while on the pill, as well as i know other couples who have gotten pregnant while using various other forms of protection. Bottom line is that you can stack the odds in your favor, but in the end its still a crap shoot and you could very easily lose. The only way to not worry about pregnancy is to not screw your gf. Self control prevents accidents.

you really should read the information or get a gf. they tell you that nothing is positive (i PERSONALLY know 3 people that got preggos on BC) and to combine BC with condom.

I actually know someone who got pregnant while on the pill AND the guy pulled out.

So nothing is %100.

I actually went for like 2 years w/my current GF w/out the pill and no condom and just pulled out, then there was a scare. since then i've been wrapping up. it really just is nto worth the risk. i don't know why I was so stupid for those 2 years.

from what my gf tells me, which i think is the same BC as your gf is taking, it prevents the egg from dropping. we've been going on 1.5yrs of continuous BC and no slip ups so...take the information as you want.

i'd say your safe but YMMV.

We went and had a good chat with our GP, and like most people i know, we now use the pill alone.

If she takes it correctly: i.e. around the same time, every day, not missing any days, the chances of her getting pregnant are VERY VERY small. Usually people get pregnant on the pill when they say they take it but end up screwing it up. Of course, no birth control is full proof.

If she has a bad reaction in any way, mood swings, etc, switch brands. There are many different brands, each with a slightly different formula.

Oh, and wear a condom for the first month.

Most studys show the pill to be around 92-97% effective in real world test.

Now those test are on select groups and they have to take the pill the same time everyday. Problem is most people are not perfect health, remember it everyday at the same time etc... As you can see people in this thread know poeple that have got kids while on the pill, as have I. If you are raelly worried them use a condom and the pill. That way even if you get a bad condom then the pill is backup and if she takes some meds that mess with her pill or she "forgets" then the condom backs it up.

Condom + pill = about as safe as you get while still being able to have sex.
