Okay sure.

Just don't blame "not knowing" when something happens.

Drug interactions with grapefruit juice

Interactions with medications

Estrogen in the form of estradiol is affectedby grapefruit. This means a womantaking birth control pills or hormone replacementtherapy might have higherlevels of estrogen circulating in her bloodstream if she also consumes grapefruit. This could lead to side effectssuch as nausea or breast tenderness.Lifetime exposure to highlevels of estrogen is associatedwith an increased risk of developingbreast cancer.

WebMD link to grapefruit juice interactions

CDC link on grapefruit juice and drug interactions

Yeah, I guess I will just go ahead and shut up.

from my knowledge

-pulling out is not an effective way of birth control
-BC pills only makes it so the egg can not attach to the wall of the uterus
-i would still use a condom though, there are a decent share of women that intentionally lie about taking BC (i have no idea what the logic behind that is)

You should. If it was really an issue for people who don't drink 8000litres of grapefruit juice a day then don't you think the medical community would warn you when you went on the pill? Think of the liability issues...

I've never had a problem with it, except with girls who don't take it properly. You better wrap it if you:

A. Don't trust the biznitch
B. Think she would miss a pill on accident
C. Be dumb enough to take antibiotics while on the pill

I had a friend that got his girl preggo 3 times while she was ON the pill. Go figure, she basically attributed it to alcohol. In actuality, I quizzed her on it one day. She claimed that she never missed a pill, etc, etc.... I believe her body chemistry just wasn't compatible with whichever brand she was on. The real key is to make sure the stuff messes with her cycle.....and maybe take a chance. The girl that got pregnant 3 times had 3 abortions (her choice) so I don't believe she was doing it to land a man.

Sounds weird, and i'm not a medical doctor so I wouldn't realy know if there is any solid research behind this claim, but I've heard it before.

Like i said above, i'll believe it when it's actually on the packet. Liability issues mean that if it is actually a serious issue, it would be there.

My wife used the patch. My only issue with it is that it was too effective! My wife has been off it for about a year now and we're still trying to conceive!

Not that there's anything wrong with that, of course.

yes. yes it does.

good luck with those kids.

i don't know ANYONE who ever got preggo on the pill, family, friends, no one...

It's like 99.7% effective.

So stop spreading FUD.

The pill might be 99.7% effective but I'm sure his girlfriend isn't. The last thing we need is more unwanted kids.

She set an alarm on her phone so she remembers to take it at the same time every night.

Yeah, or if you guys are internet junkies you can make a text file in the task scheduler open at the same time every day, works for us.

No, and I want to keep from having to experience it, as well as keeping other people safe as well.

And the patch is dangerous. You need to sign a waiver in order to get it now. Supposed to kill people with blood clots.

i know if is available with out perscription here it was only introduced recently

if its safe i don't get why they don't give it to you over the counter

lets say you run into problems fri night, doctors offices aren't open on the weekend, so you have to wait till mon, by that time it may be too late

I actually know someone who got pregnant while on the pill AND the guy pulled out.

So nothing is %100.

I actually went for like 2 years w/my current GF w/out the pill and no condom and just pulled out, then there was a scare. since then i've been wrapping up. it really just is nto worth the risk. i don't know why I was so stupid for those 2 years.

Did she miss a dose? Did she take them at the same time everyday? Was she on antibiotics? So you know someone who got pregnant while on the pill... that does not tell us much.

If the girls follows the directions, the pill is very effective. Its not 100%, nothing but masterbation is. But if you are well informed and educated its a great alternative to condoms.

A lot of ER's offer it. Unless the doctor doesnt believe in it which I believe is total bullshit.
