Doesn't matter when it was released as long as it gets the job done. It's simple and lightweight. It also allows you to select only the files you want to download, which is a feature missing from a lot of the other clients.

Yup, dpodblood bumped a thread from 2004 not realizing it. uTorrent wasn't available (at least not commonly) until 2005, so of course it wouldn't be known/recommended.
