well uhhhh no crash yet.... im back in... lol

The exchanges are going FUCKING CRAZY. I made $400 last night alone with about $1000. I can't peel my eyes away. Looks like the Chinese are just pouring their savings into it. Might as well stay in until there are more definitive signs of a crash.

I jumped back in as well, more with LTC than BTC, but was surprised that Gox is taking the lead again. Sheesh.

BTC-e was on fire today with all alt-coins going nuts. Some people made a fortune.

I'm 100% in LTC. I WATCHED it break through the $20/USD wall on BTC and knew it would sail past. @ $21 now. We will see.

PPC looks like it's going to skyrocket.... which one do I choose? #firstworldproblems

hard to look away from btc-e.... had to eat dinner though!

So let's say I have an average i5 gaming rig. How much money could I make in a month mining? I mean before paying electricity. I figure I'm paying to heat my house anyway so really it's free to mine.

Thinking of getting into LTC....I could see it hitting 30 by morning 50 by xmas...

Just be careful - a small gain is better than a huge loss! Current 30-minute support is @ $18.75, 1-hour support is @ $16, so a big selloff could send it back to those levels easily.

This Bitcoin business is getting nuts.

So I spent the last 2 hours figuring out how to mine LTC.

FFS I can't get onto anywhere to setup and account and make a purchase.

BTC-e.com is currently the best non-Chinese exchange for alt-coins, and getting USD into the exchange is very difficult. The best way to get LTC there is to buy BTC elsewhere (Coinbase, localbitcoins.com, etc), transfer the BTC to BTC-e, then convert to LTC (or any other alt-coin).

Thanks for the link. It says I'm profitable--too bad I pay $0.30 kWh or it'd be better.

What's with BBQCoin? Stupid profit, stupid name.

Those percentages change often, and BBQC is trade-able on fewer exchanges than LTC, so it's a wash when factoring in difficulty for selling. If you really want your head to swim, go to Coinchoose.com. :awe:

Tried coinbase, but it's taking too long to verify and now I can't even login (and it wont send me a reset email password?)

localbitcoins is wanting 1k+ per coin upwards of 1800 (morons)

Yes, localbitcoins can be expensive, but Coinbase takes several days for them to get you your coin/s. I bought 1 BTC from Coinbase a couple of weeks ago, and it took nearly a week to get it. Had BTC crashed and not rallied back I could have lost a lot of value before even taking possession (I did miss the chance to sell @ $800 and buy back @ $400), so the premium @ localbitcoins can sometimes be worth it.

FML. I Have about 0.15 BTC from a bit of mining I did (now worth about $150), and I want to get on an exchange so I can dump some real money into them when it dips next.

I sent in a verification request to MtGox 5 days ago and it said there was a 5 day wait. I just checked today and now it's a 10 day wait.

just like that it's $27. glad i stayed in.

BTC is @ $1000 on mtgox, $925 on btc-e and $922 on btcchina.

mtgox is always hire than everything else for some reason.

this shit going to crash or keep sailin' upwards?

Not sure, but I took profits on my BTC and have held onto about 20% of my balance as "free" holdings. I'll probably sell some LTC as well.

It's difficult to buy stock or cryptocoins and watch it immediately pull back, so a lot of people panic sell for a loss. It's important to know where support is, and to be careful not to buy it too far extended from support if you aren't willing to endure the pullbacks.

MtGox used to be the leader by a huge margin, but the issues they've had with DDoS attacks, system crashes, and legal issues (especially in the US) has set them back to 2nd place (BTC China is largest now). They don't even do that much more volume than BTC-e or Bitstamp any more, so seeing them take the lead again in price over China is a surprise. The reason BTC-e price lags MtGox is due to the difficulty and extra fees of getting USD deposited.

this shit going to crash or keep sailin' upwards?

Hard to say, but it looks like we're still moving up!

Bought in at $19.50, nice to see it past the $25 wall now. Wish I had more than 20 coins invested though; don't have that much liquid (without getting in trouble!) unfortunately.

Crazy stuff. These prices might not last long, but I don't see it falling back to $10 or even $50 unless something better comes along (unlikely). Bitcoing may or may not fail as a currency, but as a commodity it is definitely cool to own and invest in, so there will always be a demand for it.
